Vinny's 3rd year is guaranteed
Maybe this is known already, but it's the first time I've seen it confirmed.
This KC article is also the first I've seen to suggest a coaching change. 32pt losses to bad teams can be good, sometimes.

uhh
Del Negro needs to have his full complement of players to be judged fairly. But he is being judged, no matter what, on a daily basis.

I think that KC is just speculating
It would be bad if the organization keeps Vinny another year with the team playing like this.
Jannero Pargo = Larry Hughes 2.0
If Vinny's third year is really guaranteed, it just makes that hire even more indefensible.
Three guaranteed years to a guy that’s never been a coach at any level? Ridiculous.
1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box

God, I hope that's sarcasm.
In the past 10 years, just four team owners have not paid a luxury tax and are not on pace to pay one this year: Donald Sterling, Jerry Reinsdorf, Chris Cohen (Golden State), Bob Johnson (Charlotte).
Two owners’ teams averaged an operating income of over +$10 million per year while their teams have lost over 60% of their games: Donald Sterling and Jerry Reinsdorf.
Wait, never mind.

There is absolutely no way
that a “star” player would come here to play for a lame duck coach next year. If this is true it’s just another example of a lack of foresight and poor management. Let’s say they fire Vinny during the season and make Bickerstaff the interim coach or whatever. They won’t pay Vinny’s salary and the salary for a real coach next year. That’s probably how we got Vinny in the first place because (I believe) they were still paying Skiles. What a mess!
