VDN's house is for sale
I'm sure it means nothing and I think VDN's done a decent job this year. Still, his Highland Park house is now on the market.

Interesting, I'll just say what everyone's first thought is..
Maybe the Bulls aren’t exercising the 3rd year? Fingers crossed.

Maybe he's getting an extension.

Chicago Bulls head coach Vinny Del Negro has pulled his four-bedroom, contemporary-style house in southwest Highland Park off the market after having listed it for the last two months for $1.325 million.
Del Negro had not been interested in leaving the Bulls, or even departing Chicago — after all, the 43-year-old head coach is in the second year of a three-year deal he signed with the Bulls in June 2008, and as a result enjoys some level of job security, at least for the moment.
However, Del Negro, who was said to be considering moving elsewhere in the Chicago area, removed the house from the market on Wednesday. It was first listed on Oct. 5.
Through a trust, Del Negro purchased the 10-room house in August 2008 from its builder for $1.2 million. The two-story, 3,400-square-foot residence has 3.5 baths, three fireplaces, an elevator, hardwood floors, an open floor plan, a gourmet kitchen with top appliances, walls of windows in the family and dining rooms, a den with a fireplace, a finished lower level with a full bath, a rec room/exercise room, a master suite with a sitting room and a spa and roof deck.
Through his listing agent, Julie Deutsch of Coldwell Banker, Del Negro declined to comment on why he had been trying to sell the house and why he pulled it off the market.

I'm interested. Who wouldn't be?
I mean, it’s not every day you get the combination of an exercise room and an elevator for the fitness fanatic who’s too freaking lazy to walk up a flight of stairs.
(And yeah, I know any minute someone will point out someone is disabled and needs the elevator or something. It’s a joke!)
WTF?
He’s got a 3 year deal? Now I know for sure they aren’t serious about 2010. What superstar is coming here to play for a lame duck coach?

Reportedly the last year is the Bulls option -
in other words if VDN is fired after the season the Bulls do not owe him money for the 2010-2011 season.

I hope that's true
Otherwise they shot themselves in the foot with Vinny.

"in pulling the lavish, beautiful $1.3M house off the market, del negro indicated his
renewed confidence that his older, somewhat dilapidated $105,000 condo, which he bought as an investment earlier this year, might sell quicker. In support of this assertion coach del negro cited the condo’s grit and its experience, and also that he liked how it ‘matched up’ against the current housing market."
