Around SBN: Where Do The Lakers Go From Here?

The 3 members of the Bulls backcourt are no longer all in the bottom 18 of all qualifying players in TS%. They're now all in the bottom 23. Kirk Hinrich has gone from last to fourth last. Derrick Rose has gone from 170th to 165th. Progress! (John Salmons has gotten worse though.)

Even more staggering is it's not just the backcourt

Pargo: 43.5%
Kirk: 45.3%
JJ: 47.9%
Tyrus: 48.3%
Salmons: 48.9%
Rose: 49.6%
Brad: 49.8%
Taj: 51.5%
Noah: 51.9%
Deng: 53.0%

The NBA average is 53.8%. That means we don’t have one player on our team above the league average. To those who say “who cares about getting a new coach right now, VDN isn’t the problem”, he’s part of it.

also a bit demoralizing

that Gar mentions ‘being a defensive team’ as a big issue.

Earth to Gar: the Bulls are a slightly above average defensive team. 13th in the league in Def. Eff.

Ugh, this FO is dumb.

1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box

No, really. Kirk needs to GTFO. Trade his ass, GarPaxDorf.

Bulls scored 104 points last night

Heard on NBA TV is was their season high, couldn’t believe, sure enough it is:

http://www.blogabull.com/schedule

7 of the 14 teams playing LAST NIGHT scored 104 points or more.

Think we might have some offensive problems?

Although it's fun to rip the Bulls and they sure as hell deserve it

it seems to me like that’s a problem throughout sports. If a team is struggling record wise the coach or front office will come out and criticize the teams defensive effort even if offense has been just as much if not more of the problem. I don’t know if all these people actually believe it. In the Bulls case, I REALLY hope they don’t.

Vinny Del OH NO!

Yeah thats what I was thinking when Stacey was talking about how the Pistons are full of offensive players and bad on defense. I think they really lack more just offensive flow or chemistry at this point. I don’t know the numbers but they give up the 4-5th lowest point totals in our conference.
