Around SBN: Raiders' GM Begins The Purge

I know sometimes I'm a bit biased, but really?

Let's just look at some of the current players that they name better than Rose.

Shaq, Manu, Kidd and McGrady?

To be fair, I'd say Manu is better than Derrick.

The other three, probably not, although we don’t really know how good TMac still is.

he's closer to twice as good as equal.

Um, yes. Manu's one of the absolute best in the league (when healthy).

He’s also a 6th man for the Spurs, whereas Derrick is the “franchise” for a shitty shitty franchise (our own Bulls).

Plus, Manu is only the 6th man in name. He closes the games which is what matters.

2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box

Manu's better than most starting SG's in the league.

And that’s the exact same mindset people had when they bashed Ben Gordon.

Hell no.. Shaq and Bynum over Noah?

Fuck that.

Well I can only not see Shaq the other 2 though maybe because of injury.

And Bynum is a 20-10 player on any team thats not too deep. Hes got great hands and is a solid low post defender to me hes top 3 center with Yao out. (who can own any center it seems)

I guess I thought the NBA was deeper than this

By these standards, the Bulls had two of the league’s top 34 players last year. Lots of credit given to established guys on winning teams. The highest non-winning team, non former ROY is Granger at #31.

Luol is better than Charlie V...

In my opinion.

He is a lot better than Charlie, but people like offense.

Some really puzzling names on this list

Richard Jefferson? Charlie V? Michael Redd hasn’t really played since January of last year and neither has McGrady. Elton Brand hasn’t played well since…I can’t even recall. Just a weird list of names based on previous reputation mixed with young guys who aren’t quite there yet (OJ Mayo for example).
