Too bad we couldn't get a scorer like that on the Bulls

Bulls had him and traded him for Howard Eisley and picks because he wan't a Skiles player.

We got JR Smith in the Tyson Chandler for PJ Brown deal. At the time I thought it was smart because JR is a nut but knowing what I know now, would have been nice to have kept him. Then again, if he had been allowed to stay he probably wouldn’t have been given the chance to do what he is doing now.

JR is still a nut.

I think if this were to all play out again now Skiles would have kept Smith, as he seems to have mellowed out since his time in Chicago.

Metal sharpens metal.

And this guy right here understands and knows what leadership is all about: The coach, the hall of famer......... Dick Butka! George Ryan

The Bulls shrink like a dick in cold water.

What happened to the Da Bulls?

It’s a little late for sour grapes now, but this shows the Bulls aren’t willing to try and develop players. Instead of at least trying to make JR a less hotheaded, more responsible, coachable type player, they just ship him out for nothing. Don’t even try.

He was the reason

why I thought it was a decent deal. I looked at PJ Brown as expiring cap space and we picked up a young player with potential. What pissed me off was not so much that they traded him away (because I knew he wouldn’t fit with Skiles) but that they traded him away basically for nothing. He was a 1st round pick that came out of HS and showed some game when given minutes. At the very least you get a 1st for him or a competent role player not a second round pick.
