Sorry to say this
but there is absolutely every possibility that this game ends with a loss because Vinny’s ‘textbook’ plays.
the bulls just suck long enough to make it a game, and then they continue to suck

Is that a team total?
Go Rockets/Nets[CDR]/Bucks[Jennings]!
Well, that's pretty disgusting
then again our best offense is having rose drive to the basket against the other team, so maybe it’s a good sign?!?
Go Rockets/Nets[CDR]/Bucks[Jennings]!
We so shoulda tried to trade Salmons for Iverson, and no one can make me think otherwise
Vinny Del OH NO!
come on, this stupid org make a smart move like that? what are you thinking?
they couldve signed Iverson for cheap, and kept stupid ass salmon, but they didnt even do that. so what makes you think they woud trade for A!??

i would pay good money to see Vinny's whiteboard after a timeout
A 35-pt lead is the most dangerous in basketball
His whiteboard's nickname is 'the albino'
because it never gets written on
all his pens have white ink
Go Rockets/Nets[CDR]/Bucks[Jennings]!
It's like they just can't quite bring themselves to succeed or something.
This team makes me tired. And sad. And other things that sports just should not consistently do to you.
Just waiting on some offense....
Vinny called some ridiculously stupid stuff right there
“Throw it hight in the air near the hoop so he (pointing at JOAKIM) CAN STUFF IT HOME!”
VDN told them not to foul
because HE IS AN IDIOT.
Go Rockets/Nets[CDR]/Bucks[Jennings]!
Well, for VDN's plans, it worked out pretty much as expected
Go Rockets/Nets[CDR]/Bucks[Jennings]!
I read it off his lips,
pretty funny stuff.
Go Rockets/Nets[CDR]/Bucks[Jennings]!
Dunno
I can actually see the merits of that. If you foul, it’s likely that the Knicks make at least 1 of 2. Then you have to score twice AND put them back at the line again for another couple of attempts. If the Bulls had got a stop, which they nearly did, it’s a one possession game and the Bulls have the Bull.
I don’t often agree with Vinny, but I think that was the right call
5 seconds
shouldnt duhon have been called for it??

Man, if VDN can be a coach
I should totally be a coach
Go Rockets/Nets[CDR]/Bucks[Jennings]!
It's a bad sign when a team is coached so incompetently that random people watching it know they can coach better than the guy on the sidelines
but don’t think that about any other coaches in any other sport
Go Rockets/Nets[CDR]/Bucks[Jennings]!
I'm so numb after yesterday's loss
that at this point nothing matters. I thought we were mediocre..instead we’re just bad. And having the worst coach in history doesn’t help

If only we could figure out how to put a whole game together.
Just waiting on some offense....
it's just that our half of suckiness
is suckier than the other team’s half of suckiness…so to speak.
If we could have matched good with good and bad with bad, we'd at least be playing .500 ball

A point of note, we had a great run, but we couldn't finish because we don't have a go to clutch player.
If anything, this is where B.G was missed, somebody has to become the go to scorer. Especially if Vinny won’t play TT in the 4th quarter.
When TT comes back (in four days)
we have a new coach
I think the problem is we only have one payer who is a threat...
we need a few…Derrick isnt that good of an outside shooter yet to be a threat. We need reliable shooting threats.

Bulls outscored NY 50-35 in the second half, yet still end up with only 81 points.
How do they not even drop 90 against the Knicks? Maybe someone can release a “Rose only” version of games where all we see is him making great plays, and just block out all the other notes of failure.

The last two nights feel like a really bad breakup
So I’m breaking out the good icecream and pretending like the Bulls don’t and never have existed.
My family’s not into basketball, so I won’t have a choice about missing the next 3 games – maybe by then I’ll be ready to take them back if they offer their sincerest sounding apologies and start playing like they belong in the NBA.
Just waiting on some offense....
Soon, mom - soon.
(Then I’ll have even more time to obsess over the Bulls! Oh wait, they don’t exist….)
Just waiting on some offense....
I'm watching the Memphis game, we should trade JJ for Memphis rookie Sam Young
he’s about 6’7 can play 2 or 3. good shooter, very athletic, and has 3pt range. He would be a upgrade over Salmons.
In the third quarter
Derrick took over and played amazing. He even capped it off with a buzzer beating three. So naturally u expect to see him in the fourth. But VDN benches him got what 5-6 minutes? Fucken retarded. Did he think a 22 year old was as tired as brad miller? Please let thos stupid shit end now.
I'm cuckoo for Kukoc!!!
by Yibs on Dec 22, 2009 9:05 PM CST via mobile reply actions
That is what ended the game. Rose should not have sat down at all in the third and fourth quarters.
In fact, since Rose likes to take over on the second half then Vinny should rest him more in the first half and let him play the second half.
Vinny's reactionary
He got a ton of criticism after last night’s game for not resting the starters and having them tired at the end. So tonight he makes sure to rest them.
It’s like the end-of-game TO thing – it’s like he says “Damnit, I’m not going to screw this up again!” But it doesn’t lead to him making the right decision, necessarily, just not the same one.
Just waiting on some offense....

by Yibs on Dec 22, 2009 9:28 PM CST via mobile up reply actions
No, we have two 3's who cannot shoot. Sam Young is a 2 who can play 3 and he can shoot better than either
we have no true SG
He's not better
He’s shooting 15% from 3 and wasn’t really that great of a long range shooter in college. He’s not real athletic either. Doesn’t pass well or handle the ball all that well. A nice guy off the bench who can give you a few minutes, but he’s not winning this team any games. I’d rather wait out JJ as he has more upside.
I picture something like the old Simpsons baseball episode
Burns had in mind hiring ringers for the team. He unveils a
chart of a baseball diamond, with names like Honus Wagner and
Mordecai ``Three-Finger’’ Brown. Smithers points out that all of the
plays have retired, and are long dead. (``In fact, your right fielder
has been dead for 130 years.’’) So Burns sends Smithers out to scour
the American, National, and Negro Leagues to find players. He has 24 hours.
The Bulls could use some brain tonic.

Anyone that doesn't believe in fixes . .
Knicks were favored by 6 and so you have the Bulls down 5, Kirk Hinrich decides to foul with .03 seconds left.
Just saying
I'd rather not see James Johnson do anything, he's pretty awful.
He makes any criticism of Tyrus Thomas as out of control seem so stupid at this point.

There’s nothing to lose. He can board better than Taj. Which doesn’t mean he’s actually good at anything.
Actually, with Tyrus back Johnson may as well sit I guess.
I can’t believe they are gonna trade Tyrus for Harrington. Ugh.
by hitlesswonder on Dec 22, 2009 9:26 PM CST up reply actions
Would be nice if he could do it the entire game
He needs to go into Saturday’s game with the same attitude he had in the 2nd half and play that way the whole night.
Rose sets up the team and he sees who has it going in the first half and then he takes over
in the second half. The TEAM needs to change.
No one to setup
The team sucks, he should know that by now.
Maybe he just needs a trade to a good team to reenergize him....
Worked last year. ;)

Can Gar Paxdorf even wait until Christmas Eve to fire VInny?

Christmas Eve is the typical flush day for Bulls coaches

I’m sure this fits in with the org’s sense of tradition – no other reason to wait.
They should have come out pissed after last night and been on a mission. I only saw the final and score by quarters, but it looks like that didn’t happen…

Pax for Head Coach
Time for Reinsdorf to force Paxson in as Head Coach. He doesn’t want it? Then fire him. He built this team and it’s only fair he see first hand how bad it is and no longer scapegoats coaches.
It also solves the problem of signing a new coach who could clash with any potential free agents. And while Pax is a crappy GM, he can’t be any worse than VDN.
Then send him packing
Sends a bad message when the guy who created this mess can hide out in the background while the ship sinks. If he wants to be in the background, have him do it off the team payroll.
Oh, and I completely forgot but I hope Neil Funk gets fired for his constant unprofessionalism.
The man has no class. Who spends the better part of a game where the Bulls look like complete trash insulting the Knicks?

The weird thing is he did better (although that is a relative term)
after getting benched. Kirk meanwhile looked pretty good when he first came in and didn’t do a ton in the second half when he started.
Overall, though, I still like the look of the team better with Kirk on the floor than Fish, and with the exception of the Sacto game our starts/3rds lately have been pretty bad. I’d like to see him at least try something different.
Hopefully that something different includes Miller going back to the bench ASAP.
Just waiting on some offense....
one thing for sure! relatively bad from relatively worst.. a crap shot either way!

but then the bulls organization decided to get rid of ben gordon….i mean seriously? This team after the trade last year wasnt bad, it wasnt a great trade, but it made us a bit better, the problem is the bulls organization kinda went out of their way to make us worse….

3 paid players
I think after deng and heinrich got paid bulls decided that was enough payroll thiis hurt Gordon
by sugarbear06 on Dec 22, 2009 10:18 PM CST up reply actions
whatever they decided
they decided wrong….
if salary was never an issue, it wouldve been so awesome….
Rose/Hinrich
Gordon/Salmons/Hinrich
Deng/Salmons/James Johnson
Tyrus/Taj/James Johnson
Noah/Miller
wow….that wouldve been a great team, so damn deep, if someon sucked (cuz someone always sucks, usually often) another player would be able to come off the bench and pick up the slack…then maybe later you get rid of the guys who seem less relevent, or likable…let other teams come to u….keep rose untouchable…maybe noah…and just sit back and let the offers come to u….get rid of some salary, and go into the offseason and pick up another star….
damn so many options….and we instead limited ourselves to basically one….our option….TO SUCK!!!!

I think I figured this all out
VDN = Michael Scott… even look alike
You know what is amazing>?
The amount of awful teams in the east.
After Boston, Cleveland, Orlando, and Atlanta, the next winning-est team is Miami with 13 wins!
What a pathetic overall conference.
A 37 win team will probably make the playoffs this year.

this is where the hope comes in
sometimes just hearing a different voice(like a new coach) can energize a team I don’t think we are far away just a couple of players

Ruh-roh:
KC just tweeted this:
Noah: “If you were my friend, I would tell you a lot of things, but I feel like if I say something, it’s going to make things really bad.”
two teams
The first half team and second half team, this is bad sign on coach"s control of team.

honestly did you or anyone else see the faces of the players
after the final timeouts in the fourth, they told the whole story.
Green and Gold / Black and White
P.S.
what the heck was with the alleyoop try when the Bulls were down 3 with like 50 seconds. Then the sloppy give to Deng…put the ball in Rose’s hands!!
Green and Gold / Black and White
It's hard to tell what Noah is referring to
Bulls don’t seem to have any trouble makers or selfish players.
My guess is that Noah was referring to the Bulls not willing to pay Gordon.

ok i guess its too late for you to pick up on the sarcasm of the original comment,
being that Noah is still mad over Gordon, when in actuallity we all know hes refering to Vinny.
Green and Gold / Black and White
Definitely could be that as well
He did say “a lot of things”

Bulls have Issues
but have nobody to address them

He's likely talking about a lot of things, not just coaching.
Here’s a list of what’s bugging Noah, in no particular order.
1) He’s the only one out there busting his ass.
2) Derrick is still lazy out there defensively and too passive offensively for long periods of time. Tonight was last night for Derrick, just flip flopped. Last night he feasted in the first half and drifted in the second, tonight he feasted in the second half and disappeared in the first.
3) Brad Miller Sucks.
4) Vinny’s an absolute idiot. What other coach in the league calls timeouts to call an isolation play?
5) Salmons is G-d awful, while Kirk is only slightly better.
6) He plays on a team with Jannero Pargo, Lindsey Hunter and Aaron Gray.
7) Luol Deng is soft. He’s productive, but he’s so damn soft.
Metal sharpens metal.
And this guy right here understands and knows what leadership is all about: The coach, the hall of famer......... Dick Butka! George Ryan
The Bulls shrink like a dick in cold water.
I think that is what is bothering you...

Why would #2 bother Noah
when they’ve been playing on the same level, if Rose not being better?
by Stacey_Is_King on Dec 23, 2009 12:14 AM CST up reply actions
What's that got to do with anything.
Anyone watching the Bulls knows Derrick could be dominating games with more regularity, including Noah. His performance shouldn’t affect an opinion of a fellow player.

Man, OKC is GOOD! Going toe to toe with the Lakers, and they have players who can make plays.

And they just got a backup PG who could eventually be their starter.
