Neil Funk fired Luol Deng tonight. So today is Neil Funk day. The purpose of this fanshot is to list all the crazy shit Neil funk has said during a game. So please rec this so we can just document his badness.
I used to respect Neil Funk but he is so bad that it's become funny bad. He really has lost his marbles. He offers probably three or four funny bad comments a night that even a loss is worth watching.
So please come up with some funny bad Neil Funk stuff.
I'll start it off. When a player dunks he sometimes says 'buggy whip.' What is a buggy whip? A horsewhip once used by a driver of a buggy. Since buggies have been replaced by cars the buggy whip has become a symbol for anything that is hopelessly outmoded.
Your turn.

Rather than think of all the bad things he's done
I tried to think of something that I liked about him… and I couldn’t do it. I seriously couldn’t come up with one damn thing that I like about him. Not one. He’s beyond bad, when he’s not screwing up plays, names or graphics he’s spouting nonsense. I’m officially in the no volume zone, something that I never thought I would do. Because in my world any call is better than no call, but not in this case, he’s just that bad.
Vinny Del OH NO!
Im just going to pull a stacey king and say say..
“Neil! Put yo glasses on!”

How then a player shoots a 3,
and hes just behind the line, and Neil thinks its “DEEP THREE.” He always does that.
Out coaching VDN, so easy a cave man could do it.
he also calls things 3s
that are at the top of the circle or elbow, very clearly nowhere near the 3pt line.
"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"
How about every made shot that isn't a dunk or layup was "poked in"
What does that even mean?
The 2009 White Sox....like a 40 degree day.
he fights up a shot!
he squirts it up there!
"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"

He's really terrible, but I still find it hilarious when he rips on the other team for incredibly pointless, stupid reasons
that's what stands out to me.
what is he trying to do, make the bulls seem better than they are by ripping the other team?
“hey, we’re down by 20, but look at all these bad shots the other team is taking!”

I personally enjoyed
the alley oop play from Brad to DRose against the Pistons. While Brad is clearly standing for 3 seconds with the ball waiting for rose to cut, Neil pulls a: “Miller caught it, and almost in the same motion flicked it towards the rim”…

That same play is also a great display of Stacey’s overused catchline: “Either get up or get out the way..” .. Every time….
