Star-divide

The teams immediately after Michael Jordan retired at least tried the best with their limited abilities. This team seems to be the worse one yet I have seen since 1998. There was more to look forward to those other teams as they had Elton Brand and some younger players to look forward too. This team is just bad and their so called prospect Derrick Rose is playing bad. he looks worse than jay Williamsn did at his rookie year. I wonder how much longer before attendence starts to drop as people realize this product stinks. i have seen the attendence in the paper at other NBA games and it seems like there is way lesspeople attending some of these games so far. The Bulls keep selling out for some reason. I guess corporations still like to waste money.

We've seen

much worse, please, I wouldn’t say Derrick is playing bad either

The Tim Floyd years were pretty bad.

Charles Oakley. That loss to the Timberwolves I think they lost by like 60 points. That was one of the most depressing seasons I’ve ever been apart of. I think that was the first real sense that JK wasn’t going to bring a dynasty back to the Bulls.

So you

liked watching the dynamic combo of Rusty Larue & Kornel David because they tried hard?

by craftyveteran on Dec 18, 2009 11:01 AM CST reply actions

No...far from it actually

Though we’re not very good either. We’ve had some injuries that have hurt us a bit so far, but we’re probably a 30-35 winner who will look awful many nights but fairly ok other nights.

To me Tyrus Thomas is a KEY player to our club!!!

Sadly....through thick and thin....

This is retarded. The immediate years after Jordan were the pits. This is bad but not that bad. Also Rose is still doing better than Jay Will ever did or had a chance to do.

"rose is playing bad" is just garbage

People who expected Chris Paul numbers in his second year had to way too high expectations. He started the year injured and is the sole focus point of opposing defenses because the other scoring options are inconsistent, to put it kindly. He’s averaging18 ppg and 6 apg in December with a lackluster supporting cast. In fact, his numbers have gotten better every month.

So, sorry, Rose isn’t LeBron or Kobe. But neither were those guys in their second year.

by patagonia on Dec 18, 2009 12:17 PM CST reply actions

In addition

Rose has scored 18+ points in 10 of the last 14 games. In the first 10 games of the year he did that once.

If you can’t see the improvement and recognize that a lot of this was due to him playing injured then you’re being willfully obtuse.

by patagonia on Dec 18, 2009 12:22 PM CST up reply actions

That's oversimplifying it.

He’s shooting 42% in his last nine games, and a majority of those shots have been taken in the paint. For a player with his shot selection he should be shooting a much higher percentage. Furthermore, he’s averaging 18 ppg over that stretch, but he shooting 17.3 shots per game to get those points, so he isn’t exactly being efficient. He absolutely must go to the line more or start hitting threes, or otherwise he’s going to have to be a 50%+ shooter to be an efficient offensive player.
Is he playing decent ball? Yes, but he’s still not as good as he was last year and hasn’t really displayed improvement in any aspect of his game.

Metal sharpens metal.

And this guy right here understands and knows what leadership is all about: The coach, the hall of famer......... Dick Butka! George Ryan

The Bulls shrink like a dick in cold water.

OHHH NO

We were (sadly) much worse immediately following Jordan’s retirement. I remember being laughed at on the street for wearing my Bulls sweatshirt during those days it was pretty bad.

Angry Andy in the house

I think that Andy should have a Monthly post/blog put on the front page of this site. Just to make us crack up, I still think that this is an alias of no of the regular posters. But I do read ever angry andy post.

Now to anser the question, no way this team would blow out those teams that had Brent Barry on them.

As for Rose the doubters will be back on the nuts by the end of the season.

well the team is playing better so much for the post

I still think this is one of the more dull teams in a while and for all you want to say about Ben Gordon his offensive skills were somewhat fun to watch

grammer geeks you make me sick

by angryandy on Dec 20, 2009 4:16 AM CST reply actions

sadly, the horrible, nightmarish, insane, unbelievable, (and an other adjective that is synonymous with inept, bad, and awful)

team that only scored 49 points in a game is much much worse….but these guys are pretty bad when they want to be and give up.

Not even close to being the worst team.

But perhaps the most disappointing to this point.
