are you sure it wasnt one of those garnett-esque situations where the franchise realizes

how hard this player has worked for them and how their team is going nowhere so they ditch their franchise player partially out of pity and partially to start over (although you could argue philly has yet to actually start over)? i actually cant remember the circumstances of the trade so this is a real question and not sarcasm.

This move is beyond awesome

I’ll put it in bullet points.

You put people in the stadium. Iverson is a popular player, especially in Philadelphia where he won his MVP. I bet they can get to stadium to 64, 65% !!!

You will most likely get worse. Iverson is going to suck regardless, so I guess it might as well be a on a horrible ‘6ers team. So while they’re increasing their revenue, they’re increasing their chance of a high draft pick. Awesome!

He’s only there for one year. Let the drama and “clubhouse cancer” stories unravel like a blossoming rose in the summer. This might ignite even more ticket sales to people can see the shipwreck, so it’s actually a plus as well. I can’t believe New York didn’t think of this. He would have been awesome for New York. AI + Nate Robinson off the bench = Stevie Franchise + Starbury of the golden times

Lou Williams can milk his injury more. Why come back? Iverson’s busy manning the ship! Wait until next year, or give some half-assed attempt ~~like Hinrich~~ to come back later in the season.
