Scoop Jackson on Captain Kirk
good god, his writing is awful to read...
"when you could hear some Bulls fans actually saying, "Kirk Hinrich is kinda gangsta." Knowing that that is exactly what this team needed. "
haha gangsta...

Its not that awful to read
i think his schtick is being hip, and it is getting old as opposed to awful. As a fan of hinrich i liked reading it, but i did think parts of it were overblown. The quote about what he said about the rondo fight i thought made kirk seem like a coward more than a “gangsta” and seriously who calls him ck? I thought the article started off better, but it began reaching near the end. I liked the reference about him being like the sun, everyone sees its there, some are glad its there, but ultimately no one pays much attention to the sun, planets flow around it, galaxys become around it, it does so much that goes unnoticed on a usual basis, but many simply forget about it until its not there anymore….Whether thats what scoop was implying i dont know, but reading the reference this is what i thought, and i though it fitting.
Thanks for posting this, i probably wouldve never found it if someone didnt post it…
On Behalf of Sue, Wjb, majoyenrac, Bullshooter and all the other Hinrich fans...Ill keep the Hinrich Hope coming...There will be light!

How tough are basketball players when they get in a tufle on the court?
They know it is going to be broken up, there are thousands of people watching, millions on tv… Maybe they can get one hit off. Often times the other guy doesn’t even get good knock in. And unless getting all worked up translates into getting fired up to play better basketball on the court then it pretty much is empty posturing with little risk. No one goes after each other after the game. Hitting someone gets you a fine and suspension, not jail time like you’d get at an office workplace. I guess the worst offense is like how KG goes after smaller guys or Rondo goes mental and ends up hurting the team. But then it is because they look stupid rather than being really dangerous. In Kirk’s situation the altercation (if I remember right) fired the team up for a while. It’s sorta like a coach symbolically getting kicked out hoping it to be a game changer. Come to think of it, has Vinny got kicked out yet. I kind of miss that. Especially with Vinny. :D
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

He's a nice guy(met him at Wrigley this past summer),
but he’s a pretty rough read.
BTW, he isn’t the first guy to reference Hinrich’s inner gangster. SLAM awhile back called him something along the lines of “the baddest white boy in the NBA.” Between him and Miller, we got to of the hardest white guys in the league.
Metal sharpens metal.
And this guy right here understands and knows what leadership is all about: The coach, the hall of famer......... Dick Butka! George Ryan

Awesome,
Between him and Miller, we got to of the hardest white guys in the league.
That is exactly what I always dreamed the bulls would be like.
If we aren't careful, the leanness we now feel will be the starvation of those we serve.

yea... me and my friends always used to joke around about his inner gansta side
few of my friends saw him during BG and Dengs rookie year.. they said he was listening to some hardcore B.I.G music and rapping along with it… i think hes always been though..
I'm cuckoo for Kukoc!!!
