Stupid League Pass Broadband

blacked out again in freaking Iowa. Glad I just signed up for the free preview and have not paid any money (and won’t either).

Not worth it if you live in an area where Bulls are blacked out IMO.

I'm a Brandon Jennings fan

You know how all those people, after the Ben Gordon goes to Detroit thing, said they’d stop being fans of the Bulls? Well, I haven’t exactly stopped, but my fandom’s a lot more … spread out, let’s say. I can appreciate the Bulls getting their heads caved in by the BJ stick.

I’ve been trying to avoid that for a while. ‘BJ’. Ugggh. lol

LOL

I think since MJ left most fans of the Bulls have evolved into watching the Bulls…and another team. I usually try a west coast team so my loyalties are not terribly compromised. A few years ago it was the Suns or the Mavs. Now the Nuggets are fun.

by wilsoneads on Nov 3, 2009 7:29 PM CST up reply actions

I think the only games blacked out

are those that local cable has locked in in your area. You won’t see much of your local team on league pass but you can see pretty much anyone else. So as a Bulls fan in LA you shouldn’t have to worry about missing a lot of games.

The injury seems to be fucking with Rose's mind

He’s just too tentative out there, probably because he knows he doesn’t have the extra explosiveness he has when he’s healthy. I’m not worried about him over the long term (he didn’t forget how to play over the offseason), but I’m very worried about him over the next month or two (or longer if he aggravates the injury).

I'm dead serious, I'm not trying to be hyperbolic or anything

but have you ever seen Rose play the point guard position like that? Seriously. To be a point guard you have to control pace get people shots, get your team in and out of sets. Rose is not good at any of those things. He’s still a spectacular player, but I’m beginning to wonder if he’s actually a point guard

You know,

chill. I was with you a second ago…but Jennings has jacked up quit a few bad shots, and none of the ones he’s made have been all that impressive – just very open, easy shots. He’s run the break nicely. But he’s also had his pocket picked. Rose is bigger, faster, stronger. He’s still got the higher ceiling. He’s just hurt…and this other guy’s a “true point” who jacks up 15 shots in a half.

The game is being shown as a free preview for those who have NBA-TV

I posted this as the last thread on the preview but I think the game had already started.
I have Dish Network. I don’t know if the other cable/satellite services are featuring this debacle.

Vinny finally has a chance to match wits with the Bulls former mentor, Scott Skiles. I haven’t decided which prefix is more suited to the skill set of our resident genius….Nit, Half or simply Dim.

He’s hoping to squeeze a big game from our reincarnation of Lou Gerhig tonight, especially since YFBB named Tyrus as potentially the NBA’s next Wally Pip. If Taj Mahal can excel beyond mediocrity, this would fulfill a wet dream for Vinny and management and probably earn them all a nice Christmas bonus for justifying the savings Tyrus’s demise will provide the suits. The only thorn they want to deal with is the one coming from Rose rather than the uppity trouble maker who refuses to let go of his delusional belief that he can actually contribute meaningful minutes in the 4th quarter of games.

Can someone tell me what the hell sets the Bulls are running tonight. Their 3 point shooting would emabarass a junior high team. Remember folks, this is a HOME game. Can you imagine what the circus trip is going to look like. Rose looks hopelessly lost. This has to be a result of his missing all that time with the injury, but what excuse do the rest have, other than they are being coached by a cretin?

If you can't answer a man's arguments, all is not lost. You can still call him vile names.

Jennings' jump shot is and remains a giant red flag

I’m gonna give it until the Bucks have played 10 games to see if his jumper’s actually magically improved in the NBA.

Calm down, man, calm down.
Jennings is good.
No, he’s not better than Chris Paul.

I'm just saying, this kid can easilly pop a three off the dribble

I haven’t seen Paul shoot the rock like that, this kid has handles like Paul does, he is racking up assists playing with a bunch of average players, this kid is gonna be a star!

by Mr Rhythm on Nov 3, 2009 8:09 PM CST up reply actions

I hope this is some reverse ninja psychomacology

to show everyone how absurd they are for throwing Rose under the bus

by patagonia on Nov 3, 2009 8:12 PM CST up reply actions

seriously?

This kid has played 2 games and a quarter and you’re going to say he’s better than Chris Paul?

by patagonia on Nov 3, 2009 8:08 PM CST up reply actions

13 points on 11 shots.

3 assists, 2 turnovers.

And most of those makes were gimmes.

Give me a break.

Brandon Jennings

is one ugly dude

Vinny Del Negro is our misfortune.

They aren't this bad at shooting

At some point Kirk and John are going to knock some baskets down. I just wish I knew when.

Maybe it will end up being a good thing

Both can get their nasty shooting slump out of the way early, and get back to reasonable basketball.

so....did vinny just bench derrick rose effectively?

Asked what kind of player he expects to be in the next five years, he said: "Not a star, but like, a superstar. Something around, like, Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, something like that."

Look at the Bucks roster, and then look at ours

Say what you want about Skiles, but that guy can fucking coach. At least until he quits on a team, anyways.

I think he fell on the sword.

Getting rid of him was one tangible thing they could do as they couldn’t get rid of a bunch of the trouble players.

The Bulls have 11 TO

11 fucking TO. How can a team win with so many turnovers only in the first half?

Jannero Pargo = Larry Hughes 2.0

by bull83 on Nov 3, 2009 8:09 PM CST reply actions

answer...they can't. the Bulls will lose this game.

1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box

Jennings looks fine, but no better than Rose did last year or Rondo looked early in his career.

He’s pretty young still and I’d be excited as a Bucks fan since they got him with the 10th pick or whatever. He doesn’t utilize the screen too well and is a little sloppy with the ball. His shot looks good though.

Salmons is looking awful. He went from taking and missing good shots in previous games to turning the ball over and taking awful, Deng like shots.

Speaking of Deng, he’s actually looking better to me than in the first two games.

Taj got frustrated early, which is expected from a rookie guarding a bigger player, but it’s just more proof that he’s a dependable backup at best and in no way should VDN think of starting him over TT (like he seemed to at the end of preseason, obviously TT is out with flu tonight we believe).

Rose, ugh. Not happy at all about Rose on either end of the floor. The minor bright spots are that his ankle is not near 100% and he’ll come around very soon, and his jumper actually looks improved. Otherwise, he’s been very disappointing so far this season and especially in this game.

by RyPac13 on Nov 3, 2009 8:11 PM CST reply actions

Jennings looks better than Rose did last season

He is aggressive and Rose simply is not. He has a better shot. He has a better handle. He doesn’t make lazy passes with frequency Rose does.

by hitlesswonder on Nov 3, 2009 8:13 PM CST up reply actions

He got very careless a few times, particularly against Hinrich with the ball.

He also does not utilize a screen as well as Rose did last year. A few times he just tossed the ball to the center that was setting a pick at the top of the key.

by RyPac13 on Nov 3, 2009 8:15 PM CST up reply actions

yeh but jennings can shoot rose simply can not i dnt care how many shots the man takes in the summer it can be a million he still wont be able to make shots

by bullsrthebest on Nov 3, 2009 8:17 PM CST up reply actions

Rose can shoot

what are you talking about?
Rose can’t shoot threes right now, no.

Salmons looks incredibly slow. I wasn't sure he was going to opt out of his contract

at the end of the season this summer, and if he keeps playing like this, he absolutely won’t

they cant play offense i mean check tha there is no offense

by bullsrthebest on Nov 3, 2009 8:14 PM CST reply actions

noah is so afraid to try on offense tha even when he is two feet away from the net hell still kick the ball out to the three point line

by bullsrthebest on Nov 3, 2009 8:15 PM CST reply actions

but only the bulls though theyll end up trading tyrus thomas and hell end up averaging 18 and 10
