A.I. should happen

I really believe the good out weighs the bad, if this did happen. The Bulls need scoring. If John Salmons isn't producing on offense, give his job to A.I. The same goes for Luol, give his minutes to Salmons, if hes not producing at the 3. That way we will have a deep bench and minutes to go around until our bestt players stop being streaky. Good: Bulls get instant offense, because defense will have to both Iverson and Rose. And we would have a lot fresh players. Rose could pick up some firsthand offensive skills on how. A.I holds a career 27 ppg average. Rose is easily missing on 3 assist a game from his shooters not hitting. Bad: team chemistry (which really doesn't matter because the Bulls haven't found themselves yet. Why not bring in a big time veteran scorer to help a team that isn't scoring. Rose is a real point guard"he cannot be the nba his self. Nobody can. You need a team a atleast two stars and a few role players. I don't see why the Bulls shouldn't make this move because the good outweights the bad,in my opoin.

I stil need someone to show me so much bad from A.I

A.I isn’t more problematic than say Beasley needing rehab, Ron Artest beating up fans, Kobe’s accusation, Iverson may have taken alot of shots, but to say he’s a team menace is wrong. The guy is a hard player, and he needs a good fit to get the most out of him. If anyone thought Denver would be a good fit with that offense and having two big time scorers they were fooling themselves. Detroit was already falling off then they sent away Billups who was the leader and kept Stuckey and Rip, those were horrible moves. But if you put A.I on a team that has a good rebounder in Noah, good weak side defender and good finisher in TT, a really good point guard in Rose to help take the pressure off each other, and a good medium range shooter/slasher in Deng you have something to work with. To discuss Mccants, or anybody over A.I is crazy! A.I should have been signed yesterday, cause we need him, and it would be a perfect fit! Also Rose could defend the bigger guards since he cannot defend anyu point guards which also helps them on the defensive end, this would be just what Chicago is missing especially in the 4th quarter when we appear to get scared and cant score, the answer could solve that problem.

Rose can't guard bigger guards...

And his offensive development would suffer on the other end as well.

The same will happen if we bring Wade in. I don't see what the difference is.

If the Bulls are smart then they would pluck Iverson now and sign Wade next year and get rid of Hinrich. The guard rotation would be complete.

My main problem is any points AI gives will be quickly evened out by the points given up. Our backcourt would be the league’s worst. And our main offensive problem are the lack of 3pt shooting. AI sucks at 3. All he can do is penetrate and without shooters, the lane is blocked off to penetrating players. Which is why Rose is not getting any easy layups like he did last year.

The Knicks and Bobcats are just as desperate for scoring yet even those teams aren’t bringing him in.

My main case for McCants is a)he’ll be much cheaper and b)he will be willing to come off the bench and c)he has shown he can nail 3s which is what we need.

We need better outside shooters not just scorers

No more AI threads please.

Kirk, Salmons and James for Redd and Ridnour.

I known a lot of people are going to say Redd sucks, but when he plays us he does not suck. Then everyone is gonna scream 2010. I then will say F*** 2010, because why would Wade want to play for this team.

ai has proven he can get to the line regardless of what defenders are in front of him

he knows how to draw contact and get calls.
rose has no clue how to even get to the line once a game.
our defenses might be lacking but im sure once tyrus is back we can try forcing the offense into the paint and have them deal with noah/tyrus swatting shots
at this point our offense/defense both suck
why not bring in ai. give this team some life and at least improve in one area.

and for all you mccants advocators. his career numbers are nowhere near ai’s. i dont understand why everyone thinks he is such an amazing shooter either.

by sin on Nov 30, 2009 3:46 AM CST up reply actions

Noah and Tyrus can clean up behind Rose and Iverson

as that is how it is done in the league now anyway. Defenses are anchored by BIG MEN now as the hand check rule prevent good guard defense anyway.

the Bulls won't pay for him.

Plus he’s a bad fit here.

because Wade is 5x better than Iverson and took a team to an NBA championship

himself. And he is still in his prime. And he has no history of behavioral issues. Seriously, I am cautiously on board with getting Iverson, but this “he is no different than Wade” meme is stupid. The difference is that Wade is 5x better, still in his prime, and can play off the ball. Iverson doesn’t compare.

by Basketball Smurf on Nov 30, 2009 12:40 PM CST up reply actions

what does that mean?

‘game-wise’? That’s like saying that Hunter is no different than Rose because they both play basketball.

Wade improved his game to be able to score from the outside, he can shoot 3s decently now. AI never learned to have a decent % from 3. Also fuck career average. We are getting 34 yr old AI not 22 young legs AI. There is a difference. He average 12 pts for Memphis….is he going to score 27 for us as a senior citizen. No..

by C Smoove on Nov 30, 2009 1:25 PM CST up reply actions

if by decently

you mean 27% this season, then yeah.

but still, he’s definitely a notch above iverson in efficiency despite still not being a great shooter. and yeah, iverson is old. and wade adds way more to the defensive end than iverson ever did.

to make it seem like adding iverson and wade right now is equal is a joke.

It is time for Bulls Management to be creative.

Get Iverson………Dump Hinrich and go after Wade in 2010.

We will have a guard rotation of Rose, Iverson and Wade in 2010. Rose can then learn from BOTH Iverson and Wade until he is ready and when that time comes Iverson will be ready to retire (for real) and Wade will be in his 30’s.

I cant figure out what the bulls org lacks more...Brains or Balls

They are either too stupid or too scared to make a move for AI. I think they should, I think AI would come in and give us instant offense and not to mention some1 who would want the ball in his hands late in the game (as opposed to the bulls players now who play hot potato with the ball in the closing minutes). But, its painfully obvious this inept organization will just sit around waiting for some1 like MJ to fall from the sky into their lap and say “here I am Reinsdork, VDN…let me save your team”……and that is not going to happen. Bulls blow, and they dont deserve one of the big FA in 2010 to come to them. This team deserves to be worse than the Nets and Knicks. Its a sad state of affairs for loyal bulls fans like myself, but if the org we devote time and money to doesnt care about it, why should we???

Also signing AI means we go in luxury tax…..JR will not go into luxury tax for anyone. GAME OVER.

by C Smoove on Nov 30, 2009 1:26 PM CST reply actions

For the people saying no A.I.

Why the hell not… the team is already bad and struggling for offense. Why not bring in a player with a 27 ppg career average. What do we have to lose.

by Lsd on Nov 30, 2009 1:53 PM CST reply actions

Will he sign for the minimum? If he won’t then, then we’re not gonna sign him.

Sounds like it
