Irrelevancy....now I'm not saying he's not in the mix for Team USA, but in this lengthy article where tons of names are dropped, he's nowhere to be seen.

Colangelo says he's looking at Brandon Jennings, Blake Griffin, even Kevin Love.....

Now, I'll bet Rose still gets an invite to the 25-player minicamp but could he make a 15-man Team USA roster right now?

Probably not.

It's even more telling that he's suddenly not * in the conversation * about players to watch.

And while we can all say he's a rookie, he's developing, he needs time, the world -- including players his age and younger -- keeps moving forward...

Let us stop this Rose hating Please!

When your team’s 6th,7th man is Kurt Heinrich, Brad Miller, and you are coached by Vinnie Del Negro, going against the most average of NBA talent, you have no chance, I repeat no chance, oh and you want to know who replaces them, Jannero Pargo, Lindsey Hunter, Aaron Gray, and you want him to thrive with this array of talent. I will guarantee you that if he gets run out of town and lord lands on a team with legitimate NBA talent with a competent Coach, you will rue the day you let him go. We have watched mediocraty for so long we don’t know what to expect anymore. I don’t care about someone’s perception about how good he is, I know how good he is, He needs help, not this undeserved bashing for failures of Management

Why is this hating?

Everyone acknowledges that the team isn’t very good and the coach/management is a farce. Most people are just frustrated by Rose because he should be much better regardless of all those things. No one is saying he doesn’t have the ability to be special, but that he isn’t playing up to his potential. Personally, I’m just praying that it is his injury that’s been limiting him on the court.

Exactly.

It’s as if Rose is bulletproof on this site. He’s still a bad defender, though he is applying himself a bit more this year. His results may be all right on some nights, but his process is bad. He still is shooting way, way too many jump shots and doesn’t recognize the numerous mismatch opportunities he has each and every game. Each and every time he has a side of the court to himself he should get to the bucket and either end up with two points or a trip to the stripe. He’s that physically gifted. He’s the key to our success and Vinny should see that and take action accordingly, instead of sending Derrick to the corner for half of our offensive sets. I mean, why does he continue to position Derrick at the corner three point line just to let Brad and Kirk run poorly executed pick and pops? It defies logic.

Metal sharpens metal.

And this guy right here understands and knows what leadership is all about: The coach, the hall of famer......... Dick Butka! George Ryan

The Bulls shrink like a dick in cold water.

It's lonely at the top.

"Then you need a center so if the ball gets stuck between the rim and backboard he can reach up and knock it loose instead of having to spend 15 minutes trying to hit it with a broom stick." – Sam Smith

A big issue are the constant double teams and teams now pack the paint to prevent penetration cause they know we have NO shooters. Last year they had to account for BG’s shooting so the lanes were more open now they can just prevent D Rose from getting the lane and once he kicks out Kirk or John are more than happy to supply many bricks.

for crying out loud

So which of the young players have the best chance to earn trips to Turkey? Colangelo mentioned four who participated in Las Vegas.

Who could these 4 be?

“Durant, Rudy Gay and the guard from Oklahoma City, (Russell) Westbrook. And Derrick Rose,” Colangelo said. “(Rose) can play better than he did (in Las Vegas) but we don’t base our decisions just on two or three days of camp.”

Can we please stop with the chicken little shit around here?
