what i'd do as GM right now...

So i just typed this big long msg about what i'd do as the bulls GM but i LOST IT and i'm pissed so i'm just going to give my ideas...

1. Sign Iverson.  Need scoring.  only a 1 year, league min contract.

2. Trade Ty Thomas, Jerome James, + unprotected pick for David West.  Need a solid PF that can play in pick and roll with d-rose.  decreasing contract only 8.2 next year.

Lineup:

PG - Rose

SG - Iverson

SF - Deng

PF - West

C - Noah

Bench - Hinrich (PG, SG), Salmons (SG, SF), Miller (C), Gibson (PF), Pargo (only foul trouble).

with iverson, salmons (if he opts out), hunter, pargo, gray, and miller coming off the books they will still have like 20 mil to sign player.

what do u think?

Sorry it's 2010 or bust for me.

I want titles not first or second round playoff exits. I don’t believe that roster you have there is good enough to win a chip. In the NFL you win with a great QB in the NBA you win with superstars. I doubt anyone is a star in there.

No chance in hell to Iverson. The Skills that made him great he no longer possesses much like Shaq. Old superstars are the worst for a young team.

Also

They would not have 20 mil to spend…they are 11 mil over the cap now…the players coming off the books would be somewhere around 20 mil…that nets only 9 mil in cap space…that’s the only reason i don’t like the trade…if we could get rid of hinrich instead of our expirings instead, i’m down…

Also

Iverson would destroy are team chemistry, in my opinion.

Iverson sucks

He is not the Iverson of old. It would be a disaster to bring him on board.

league minimum?

Unlikely. AI is too selfish for that.

I won't bother to check

but for that New Orleans trade, either it would put the Bulls into the tax, or the Hornets further into the tax. Neither team wants either.

It would also kill most of the Bulls 2010 cap space, so it's a no go.

1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box

They could decide getting West at that price is better than their 2010 prospects

I demand to know who wants Iverson on our team!

A lot of people do. I’m sorry but AI isn’t 50% of the player he was. He can still score but the negatives outweight the positives at this point is his career.
