bulls love playing from behind or close games

they dont know how to choke the life out of a team yet, stil young and they lapse mentally on defense

The Bulls bench is woefully thin

It didn’t help that the almighty Taj fouls out in only 11 minutes on the court. The Bulls will really miss his 2 rebounds. Tyrus, get well soon.

He's hardly on the downward side of his career at 28

And I’ve generally been OK with how he’s playing other than shooting – but these seriously off shooting nights are frustrating.

Seriously. Look at Hinrich's numbers, his 3P% varies wildly from year to year.

39%, 35.5%, 37%, 41.5%, 35%, 40.8%, and now 26.7%.

It’s the same story when you look at his overall FG%. I also didn’t realize how terrible Hinrich has been in his career on raw FG%. He’s a career 41.5% shooter. That’s awful.

His career TS% is 52.2%, which is not awful, but it’s pretty bad. But he’s had two random years where he was 55+% on true shooting %.

His jumpshot is just so inconsistent. It’s weird.

Then again, I’m not the biggest Hinrich supporter (or Bulls fan) either. But, I think he could help a few teams around the NBA.

as long as they are winning some games it gives him a little longer to get back to where he needs to be. im pretty sure i remember people saying he was a slow starter anyway. maybe this is something we will need to get used to.. drose taking some time to get into the flow during the year. esp after the injury. i know he had a slow start in memphis

Why did you think

that the And-1 Tour never comes to chicago?Cause they know that they will be embarrassed

by T.Moore on Nov 17, 2009 11:29 PM CST up reply actions

Lots of red flags

It’s hard to tell if the D was any good – while they did a nice job limiting Evans’ overall effectiveness, the Kings don’t have any other scorers (like the Bulls) and when they force shots or make unforced errors, there’s no way they can overcome that. Deng was over 40 minutes again and James Johnson got no run in the second half despite a decent six minutes in the first. All of Rose’s shots are woefully flat and short and he wasn’t able to take Udrih to the rim at all. His ankle must be much worse than we are being told. He’s limiting himself to maybe two or three explosive moves to the basket a game.

I know that John had a solid game, but I will be elated when he opts out and we can get a shooting guard who doesn’t kill the offensive with a his painful 8-second hold the ball iso’s.

As I said before, when the skies are dark and the seas are stormy

don’t panic…just jump on Noah’s ark and he will guide you to calm waters. Once Rose gets his stroke down again (like Luol has) and Tyrus’s arm heals, and Kirk finds his shot (ok, I still believe in miracles), the young Bulls could be hitting their stride just as playoffs begin.

According to Noah, much of Miller’s worth doesn’t appear in the box score, even though he had 11 bench points against the Kings.

“When you can just chill and have a beer with somebody and you can talk to him about his experiences, to me that’s as good as it gets,” Noah said. “He’s really smart and someone who’s been through it. I really appreciate having him on the team.”

Am I the only one who wouldn't mind seeing more James Johnson?

He was 2 for 2, with 2 rebounds, a block, 1 foul, and no turnovers in 6 minutes.

Meanwhile, Taj fouled out in 11. Let’s at least give JJ a better look than the 5 mpg he’s been getting.

He looks so lost out there

Stat’s dont tell it, he misses rotations and just looks like a freshman kid trying to play on the varsity team.

I’ve been disappointed so far. At least Taj has proven he can play a reasonable amt of minutes (he had a rookie game yesterday)…

Wall?

They want Derrick Favors.

To secure ourselves against defeat lies in our own hands, but the opportunity of defeating the enemy is provided by the enemy himself.

FU Kirk, with your 1-9. He and Salmons are killing us. And no Tyrus. And Drose playing like he’d rather be Xboxing. HTFare we 6-4?

A) Ball movement
B) Defense
C) Coaching
D) Brad Freaking Miller

Face it guys, Vinny has the troops playing good ball. Ugly ass shooting not withstanding.

You're right.

Especially Noah. He has nothing to do with that 6-4 ! If only he could rebound.

The Game chose him !

1-2 are correct but 3-4 is insane!!!!!!!!!! Noah contributes a lot more then Brad Miller !!! Coaching!!!! are you high ? I don’t even need to give you an explanation.

Man

We are the ugliest 6-4 team that could have been at least 8-2 (late Heat collapse due to horrid VDN roster managment, and some crappy officiating in the Nuggets game).

I mean defensively we’re good, but man are we bad offensively. We score 61 pts in the first half, looking decent (thanks quite a bit to the punch of Pargo again), but then muster barely 40 pts int he 2nd half against a team that looked horrible defensively against us (Though uber athletic)….

I don’t like what I see from us, a 6-4 team that looks lottery bound soon (like the bottom will fall out) if we can’t figure out something offensively quick. These games are ugly….not fun to watch, yet I like that we’re scrappy. It’s strange.

It’s funny too, I think Rose for his role is doing ok….but I don’t get his role right now, it seems he’s much too often playing off guard, or when he is PG dribbling to the top of the key, only for a quick handoff to Salmons and then Rose’ll hang out by the corner 3 spot or thereabouts…..

I don’t get it, Last year Rose was open to create on a dime, and he flourished, this year it seems Vinny’s play calling is trying to utilize him as an off guard specialist in the half court game, and it’s somewhat frustrating.

I’m not fully knocking Vinny as again he’s got us playing hard and our defense has been sensational, and he is calling far more plays, but I just wish Vinny’s O would feature the talents that are Derrick’s a bit more—it might just help us offensively….

Oh well, if we don’t crack this soon, I fear a long season on the horizon….funny too because we had a tough opening schedule and are 6-4, yet I think we look terrible so far…..

Instant Offense

Ten points in 54 seconds!!!! Imagine if Jannero Pargo could keep that pace up for four minutes!

I think he’s required to miss his next 14 threes.

That's the Pargo I like

Now hopefully Vinny doesn’t keep playing him like crazy, because Pargo in bursts can be very good, he’s amongst the streakiest shooters in the game and scores in bunches often….but if you overplay him the streakiness turns into volume chucking which hurts.

Yesterday was great though…..

he did the same thing against was

in that playoff game… under a minute left, scores 10 straight to tie the game… only to be thwarted by arenas.

"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"

Rose looks slower

cause of his injury, all the things he normally does is limited cause of that.

by T.Moore on Nov 18, 2009 10:20 AM CST up reply actions

Or so we hope...

He can sure look quick still on the break or when trailing for a block….I’m not as sure as I was. I think his confidence is a bit down as he’s deferring far too much.

by majoyenrac on Nov 18, 2009 11:02 AM CST up reply actions

I'm pretty sure...

He’s being mediocre in an attempt to mislead opponents. They start thinking, “Oh, we have to stop their greatest strength: Joakim Noah.” Then come playoff time when teams quadruple team Noah, Rose will score 30 points and dish out 31 assists (Take that Scott Skiles!)
