They're an awful offensive team.
Can’t shoot, the ball movement is very inconsistent, and no one gets to the foul line. It’s like the kind of basketball you play at the park. If someone is hot, then awesome. If not, then you’re in store for some ugly basketball.

That was the best performance of his career so far
He hasn’t had another gane like that. It just so happened that it was in the playoffs so everyone freaked out about it (rightfully so), But he hasn’t shown the ability to do that on even close to a regular basis

That's the defintion of a career-high performance.
And he’s easily displayed the ability to take over games, hit clutch shots, just not on a consistent basis. That’s the problem. Anyone questioning his ability to dominate is ridiculous. It’s moreso his recognition of when the team needs him to take over.

last year he was terrible. This year the team is playing better D, they’re not switching on every play…. the rotations are a little better, but that is partly because of the lack of players on the roster…
Again, it’s relative. I still think he sucks…. just not as bad as last season
Their defense does look better.
He probably deserves some credit for that, but I have to admit Deng is a much better defensive player than I thought he was. Having him out there helps.
Their offense still sucks and his “have Rose pass the ball and got to the corner and stand around” play seems unimpressive to me. I think he’s failing at the most imprtant job, which is to develop Rose.

So every game someone has more points than Derrick or assists than Derrick they are better?
Its silly logic. Derrick passes and the others brick the shots. They finally hit some against Cleveland and DRose ended up with 11 assists.
