Whats the point of NBA broadband...

When they blackout games on NBA-TV?

What I meant to say is...

The NBA completely over values their product sometimes.

Blacked out Broadband

Man, I’m out here in LA with no cable so I bought this NBA broadband shit. Out of the three games that have been on since, two of them have been blacked out. Keep in mind they only black out games if the game is playing in your area. I’m in LOS ANGELES.

I officially revel in stealing from this point on.

Agreed...

However, Tornado Jo appears to be the only threat on the boards, and the Bulls are gonna have to defend the rim better, either blocking shots, taking charges or something is gonna be needed!

I agree with the problem but not the solution.

I was a little surprised we didn’t pick up a guard in the draft more than anything. Salmons wasn’t going to be the answer and the guards were deep last draft. I still don’t think AI would work. He doesn’t serve any long term plans and Rose deserves some consistency in his guards going forward. Getting a young guy to grow with him would have been great.

I just replayed it in slow motion

It hit the backboard and then Rose hit it. It was definitely a goaltend.

How is it a goaltend? Salmons already blocked the shot.

You can’t call goaltending on a shot that’s already been altered.

Two things:

1) Derrick Rose is a head case.
2) Jannero Pargo needs to be cut. Nothing good happens when he’s out there. He dribbles with his head down and plays defense with his head up his ass.

He sure plays like it, settling for mid-range jumpers and handling the ball like he’s allergic to the paint.

So does Chris Paul,

that doesn’t keep him out of there. Furthermore, that’s further incentive to wander into the paint, as it creates easier shots for your teammates.

No, because I think armchair judging of someone's mentality is ignorant and pointless.

People make it seem like the paint is wide open continually like it was during the Celtics series. Even guards who make their living in the paint like Wade or Parker can’t attack relentlessly.

It’s not like I’m basing it off of one game. It’s in the way he talks, the way he moves on the court, his shot selection, his basketball tendencies, etc. etc. You can chose to ignore the mental aspect of the game, I won’t.

Most of the Bulls don't look brilliant.

Deng looks like a zombie half the time. Salmons looks sleepy. Kirk had that homeless beard thing going on last year. I assume they are not zombies, sleepwalking, or homeless. We’ve seen Rose make great plays and have extremely good control over his body when he drives last year. He has some great basketball moves. The difference from this year and last is that the lanes are closed, Rose is the first guy they double team, and Rose is injured and doesn’t have that first step on guys like he does when he is healthy. If I had not seen last year I might think different, but I know what he is capable of.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

He did start off with some good plays.

Rose said he take a long time before the game to warm up and that he needs to keep it warm or it stiffens up on him. I wonder if he sat out too long. He needs to be on a bike all half time.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

by cranscape on Nov 10, 2009 8:21 PM CST up reply actions

Deng has great balance on his jumper this season. I don’t know where it was last year, maybe the injury, but it looks phenomenal. Even that last one he missed where he was floating sideways looked good

Rose looks really good. Denver is giving him a ton of respect defensively. He looks really confident for the first time all year. I don’t know what game some of you guys are watching. They are giving him NO ROOM to drive. Bigs are rotating towards him on every possession. He and Noah are making Taj look very good. Vinny shouldn’t have sat him so long. We might be winning.

Brad Miller and Hinrich look terrible. I don’t think that’s any revelation.

Pargo is what he is. But the Bulls are shooting so well, I don’t know why he’s getting so many minutes.

Taj looks better than I had even hoped for. He is being left open a lot and is responding to the lack of respect.

Everything about Noah has already been said. He’s been playing phenomenally.

And you know it for a fact that everybody's eating out of your hands

by chibullsareback on Nov 10, 2009 8:18 PM CST reply actions

Yeah, they are doubling HARD on Rose all night. They're bring Nene or Martin out to the top of the key, making it impossible for him to get in the lane.

Hopefully we can exploit that in the second half with quicker ball movement and get some easy baskets. We need to make them pay for doubling on him.
