This is such BS
Something has to be done
I mean, HAS TO BE, right?

he should still be able to get voted on by the coaches
right? The ballot is just for the fans to vote in the starters, so Howard will win that easily. I hope I’m right about this.

Miller? Kirk? Salmons?
Our offerings look so…meh. Since when did back up bench players get selected anyway? Miller is great but he is our back up center. Back up to NOAH who should be on there. Kirk is a backup too. Neither of them are terribly exciting backups either. This is hilarious.

right, my point exactly
miller isn’t starting and plays like 25 min a game now.
noah is our starting center. this is a no brainer.

Hmm
I wonder what the talking heads of the NBA beat will be saying over and over between now and coaches selection.
It’s a sham, but perhaps a slight with a proper conclusion.

Total bullshit.
"Toney Douglas came off the bench to score 16 points in 17 minutes Saturday against Milwaukee. He finished 6-of-9 shooting, including four three-pointers."

this is a stupid oversight, but utterly irrelevant
the nba should’ve just saved themselves time and only listed dwight howard at center in the east. sure, it would’ve looked nice to see noah’s name as like the 4th or 5th leading vote getter among eastern all star centers, but he was never going to get voted in anyways.

Look on the bright side....
Maybe Noah will feel slighted and go on a tear for the rest of the season.

Reinsdorf told the league to take him off the ballot.
If he can’t make an All-Star team, it’s easier to low-ball him come extension time.

he's not even a captain, how valuable could he be?

The org probably wasn't ready to fully endorse Noah yet.

I would think Rose is the favorite to start alongside Wade
Iverson started last year, Kidd before that, and now they’re both out of the East. This year, who gets more votes than Rose? Arenas, Allen, Redd, Carter, Harris is the competition. Bunch of Grade B names…
by YaoPau on Nov 10, 2009 1:06 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
rose wont win
its gonna be arenas or harris just because. . .
hopefully im wrong

He got an unusually high number of votes last year. More than Rose.

Ridnour got more votes than Rose last year...
You would think that winning ROY would help out with All-Star voting, but it took Elton Brand like 8 or 9 years to make an All-Star team.

ridnour
got votes because he was on the team with yi i think.
considering yi almost got more votes than kevin garnett…

Yep
i think the theory was that the yi games were being broadcasted in china, and the chinese were watching the bucks cuz thats where yi was and it was the “hip” thing to do…and i suppose luke ridnour was the whitest white guy they had seen that could actually play basketball (obviously never seen kirk play…pshaww) so the lot of them voted for luke. I think after word started getting out some fans here wanted to start a ruckus or show the nba why the voting for allstars was stupid, and joined in voting for luke, because if luke got picked then the nba would have to realize how dumb the whole voting thing is…

well considering yi
was 100k votes out of making the starting lineup, that in itself would have showed what a joke it was. as it was he got more votes than chris bosh, etc… he isn’t on the ballot this year. ;)

ill add that yea
the nba shouldve learned thier lesson last year that fan voting does not an all star make…or at least if you are gonna have fans vote, at least make it so that good players do make it.
Use, per or the eff stat and put like the top 10 guys at each position on the list and have fans vote from there. Just putting a random group of guys is stupid. Im voting for Blake G., im gonna get a bandwagon so that everyone votes for blake…not bosh, not garnett or duncan….the guy who has yet to play an nba game…i want him to start…bum body and all…

elton wasn't marketed
the way rose has been so far though. rose has a bunch of commercials and stuff. he’s definitely being seen more by the public eye.
that and those bulls teams were worse than this one.

I think it's weird that Tyrus isn't on there either
Other injured starters made the list (Carter, Tayshaun, Blake fucking Griffin). Had Tyrus been on there a voting drive may have been in order.

WTF!
Miller and Hinrich aren’t even starters on their own mediocre team, how do they expect them to be starters on an all-star team? I wish they only had people with realistic chances of making the team on the ballot. Why do they even release the ballot so quickly?
In other news, Ben Gordon is on the ballot!
Things could be worse. We could have kept Boylan.

don't the coaches with the best records in each conference coach the all-star teams?
watch doc rivers pick rasheed wallace as a reserve. can’t believe ’sheed’s even on there.
