I am glad Tyrus is back

I think we’re just going to have to live with Rose being semi-injury prone. The way he plays is probably just too hard on his body, like Wade, or G. Wallace.

Semi-injury prone?

Dude’s missed under 5 regular season games.

just cuz there was no whistle doesnt mean there was no foul/hit….

He gets hit a lot...he doesn't get the call.

Last year Rose took a beating. He needs to add a little flail in there to get people like you and the refs to notice it I guess.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

I'd just sit him the whole preseason.

I've got this thing and it's fucking golden!

by SoulEater7 on Oct 9, 2009 7:03 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

yea i think the bulls are like

hmm rose is pretty much where we want him, no reason to force him to play alot of those games, probably just bring him in for the last game or two of preseason to shake off any rust….i think they want deng to keep playing limited minutes to keep him going for fear that if he rests he might not get back to track, but cuz the bulls have hinrich/pargo/hunter they can afford to keep rose sidelined for a few games…if this was regular seaosn…id be concerned…

WTF,

Why don’t we just sit him out the whole regular season and playoffs too, until we get some better players around him! What’s the point of paying the guy if you don’t want to play him. The preseason is a great time work on what you need to work on before reg season. And with the biggest piece of the puzzle missing… what the point?

I am nobody, so this is what I am

Wow

Umm really? Let’s play the future of our franchise while he’s injured in a game that doesn’t even matter.

All I care

is that he’s healthy and ready to go on Oct. 29th.

preseason? we talking about preseason? not the game. not the game. preseason? we talking about...preseason

Personally I’m not a fan of preseason games in any sport. Yes I understand that its a time for the coaching staff to evaluate players and make roster decisions and all that but I just don’t like the idea of meaningless games. Players can either play hard and risk getting injured in a game that doesn’t count, or they can take it easy and coast thru the preseason. Either way it sucks. Extend the actual season if need be, but I would like the preseason to just be no more in professional contact sports.

We're talking about basketball man, basketball, not football.

Preseason is profitable. Owners get people in the stands but the games don’t count. Revenue without putting out the 82 game product.
Players get a chance to make a team and the established vets get to warm their way into the grueling 82 game season.

ok….i know its better for him to rest in the preseason BUT….

I got front row tickets to this game in Green Bay behind the bulls bench. I was hopin to see D. Rose play. Dang. O well, hopefully he travels with the team though. i’ll try to take some good pics and maybe post them afterwards! :)

I'm sure they just want him to rest for the pre season

I’ll start to worry if he’s still out when the regular seasons rolls around

Are we there yet?

id worry if

he misses the last two games of preseason

I don't think there's any reason to panic

this seems like it’s mainly just a precaution.

He likely doesn't play any more preseason games

His injury is a sore achilles heel he injured through a mild sprain. The recovery time is 3 weeks for a minor sprain and 6 weeks for a mild sprain. The achillees pain is torrid. If you see any photos of Rose in a walking boot then the injury is worse then they’re saying.

Time is all that heals this. The good projection is he rests all month and he plays the first two regular season games without pain. The bad projection is the same rest is followed and he has pain after the first two games. If that’s the case he’ll miss regular season games without extended rest and likely misses games in any 4 games in 5 nights scheduling.

This is an injury that you can aggravate when you’re bowling or walking up and down stairs. Rest and more rest please.

Walking Boot on

http://blogs.dailyherald.com/node/2726

Derrick Rose showed up at Saturday’s preseason game in Green Bay wearing a walking boot, which he acquired after arriving home from London a couple days ago.

Well, I'm screwed again.

I don’t know if I can take another season of crappy internet feeds. Why can’t they show this on WGN America? You know they are just going to show another crappy movie instead.
