I know it's just the preseason, but I've noticed a change in Del Negro so far. The year of experience seems to have made a big difference. He's more confident and isn't as defensive. He's been very organized and the team got a lot accomplished in the first two weeks of camp. Barring any major injuries over the next three weeks, the Bulls should be prepared for a fast start in the regular season.

I've thought he's done a nice job so far,
and really I think he got better as the year went on of course discounting that fist playoff game where he didn’t play Tyrus and burned up all the TO’s.

I must have watched a different series
because I seem to remember the “not playing Tyrus” problem becoming more pronounced after the first game and the blowing of TOs happening throughout.
We have every right to dream heroic dreams. Those who say that we're in a time when there are no heroes, they just don't know where to look.

I can't remember everything Del Negro did wrong
but I felt in game one he should have put Tyrus in the 4th quarter. I believe only in over time did he finally put Tyrus in and it paid off. The truth is that series was just insane combined that he was a rookie coach I’d give him a pass because he got his team to play very very hard for him. So I’d say if those problems keep coming up then maybe yes it’s time to look in another direction.
I used to feel the same way about Lovie Smith and now I have lots of respect for him. I think if at the very least you can get your team to play balls out then something is working and the rest maybe can be corrected with experience.
