And while I see his point, look at things in this perspective: They pronounced names better than the NBATV call did. Including the first name of our backup guard, which is something the head coach can't even do.

Kelly, you da man

But, I’d rather have 2 random people from the Ukraine announce Bulls games than Neil and Stacey.

The 2009 White Sox....like a 40 degree day.

lol

some of that was pretty funny, but i thought they did a nice job of calling the last play. better than that cackle that steve smith let out. lol.

"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"

agreed!

the last play was actually called better than the American call.

Underrated part of the final shot: the VDN grin afterwards. You could tell he was happy, yet was looking over at the Jazz bench as if to say ‘yeah, I know they shouldn’t be celebrating this much for a preseason win’.

(then you have Noah with the two arms raised…that’s crossing the line, haha)

I'll give Noah a break. That's just who the guy is.

And it’s not like he’s never tasted success or anything.

Where was Tyrus Thomas? Was he sulking on the bench because saw his replacement do something he had never done?

People should remember that while they have the right to their opinion, they are not entitled to be taken seriously. --Bruce Bartlett

Hey now, don't forget those game-clinching jumpers in Boston

Tyrus was probably standing by the tunnel holding his follow-through in the air

He was imitating Soccer victories

It wasn’t really a home game for either team, but Noah was acknowledging the fans. It’s just custom.

That was hilarious great call because its not like I listen to guys calling the game anyway. But these guys were entertaining.

by Camry on Oct 8, 2009 1:18 PM CDT reply actions

Captain Kirk as they call him in the NBA.

Or as Vinny calls him Captain Kurt.

I've got this thing and it's fucking golden!

maybe that'd be a good way to get Vinny to remember

think of his nickname, as ‘captain kurt’ makes no fucking sense.

When I came back from the game, I watched the replay on ESPN UK

It seemed like the usual shaky yet solid basketball commentary that happens at most basketball games. I dont know if the BBC carried the same announcers but they were a bit wet behind the ears but did a solid job.
I wouldn’t be suprise if they did do a bad job, but I guess there not used to commentating on a international product. Though they kinda do OK with the NFL coverage, so who knows?

Oh wow I just saw the Youtube vid..okay those weren't the same guys who did the commentary on ESPN UK

These BBC dudes are awful….a real shame cause they cover Europen sports well. When it comes to American Sports they need to let the guys on Sky Sports, ESPN UK or even bloody channel Five to handle the game.

Wow….lol. Those guys were just ignorant.

"coming from the Utarr bench"

Yeah, they got most of it right. :P It was as though I was commentating a cricket match. They do call it a “match” right?
