i would hate to be in the studio with him...
every time he gets a chance to speak (which is every 30 seconds), he just repeats the same 2 or 3 ideas over and over again just in different words

decent first half of ball
i coulda swore i saw an alley oop to hinrich in the 2nd quarter!
rj and his bald head seems to have the refs confused. he’s getting away with all bowen’s crap, grabbing and pulling on deng, especially.
favorite moment of favoritism: rose goes up on a parker make, they call a phantom foul for three point play, and collins is just prattling on and on and on about god knows what meaningless cliché he’s already stated a thousand times before. meanwhile, the director in the truck is showing it (blown call) over and over, but there’s no comment from the announcers, other than the same old bs about how great spurs/duncan/pop are.
and people wanted this guy to coach! he was a worse coach than he is a commentator people! every time he does a game, i want someone to please end my misery. by any means necessary!
the name of the team is The DIAMONDBACKS

That replay was hilarious - no contact - three replays -
and the announcers don’t even mention it.

well,
I am excited to actually see Tyrus on the court at that time all season now! He did have a huge impact on those games with those jumpers against the Celtics-I wish VDN would say exactly why he benched him during that series..
by BooRad16 on Oct 29, 2009 9:10 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
hitting open jumpers is what an NBA player is supposed to do.
at no point ever will i consider that an ability to “take over a game”. shit, if that’s the case, i’ve seen Roger Mason and Matt Bonner “take over” dozens of games
by Daniel Satan on Oct 29, 2009 9:13 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
so you're one of those guys who thinks...
that Noah should hit 99% from the FT line because he is an NBA player and that is his job? Those jumpers tyrus hit were not “typical” jumpers, they were tough, contested, playoff jumpers..that being said I also don’t think that is considered taking over a game..

Just got here
I missed the first quarter – anything crazy happen then? From what I’ve seen:
(1) D-Rose, Salmons, and Deng shooting a bunch of jumpers
(2) Joakim being Joakim (this is a really damn good thing)
(3) Tyrus being awesome in the 3rd quarter.
Anything else?

Thanks for the update
I saw the small lineup, which I don’t have a problem with in stretches (so long as it doesn’t result in a drastic result in Tyrus’s minutes).
I’ll be interested to see how the big lineup performs. I’m skeptical.
And woooooo! for Pargo not playing much!

From a communication standpoint, what's TT to make of this?
- He doesn’t get to start games from any sort of entitlement purpose (the way Salmons gets to keep playing right now)
- He plays awesome to help propel us to a big lead … and he still doesn’t get to play.
How is he supposed to translate this? How is this supposed to motivate him? What, exactly, is expected of him?
Anyhow, let’s get this W and worry about the BS later.

This is just one game. but I can’t help but be impressed by the defense. The Spurs are STILL a championship caliber squad. If they play with even 90% of the defensive intensity of tonight, we can make the 4th or 5th seed.
Vinny is a clown. Tyrus gets you the lead and you pull him early in the 4th but leave in a guy who is trying to shoot you out of the game. He has no clue about player psychology. You reward players for good play, don’t jerk them around.

That would
be too sweet.
If we aren't careful, the leanness we now feel will be the starvation of those we serve.

I'd like it in a literal sense
but I’ll take it either way I guess.

It took Oden 16 seconds to foul someone.
What an awkward player. Too bad he’s a better rebounder on one foot than Aldridge.

Oden
doesn’t move very well does he? He does seem to be a really solid defensive Center though. If he ever develops anything resembling offensive skill, he’ll be a dominant big man in this league.

Seems like he is still getting used to his body.
At some point it will have to click for him. Sometimes it takes big men a little longer to get the footwork and positioning down.

my nba guy warned before the draft
that oden had the worst footwork he’d ever seen.
a claim i doubted at the time…

I don't know...
He’s just not as athletic as I thought he was.
He is massive, so he could dominate in the low post if he develops a game down there.

Vinnie made a mistake not playing Tyrus in the 4th
But give the guy some credit. We played well offensively and we actually played defense. Enjoy the win. Tomorrow is another day

Why would anyone not named LeBron (for marketing purposes)
not want to come to Chicago when free agency hits next off season. It’s probably the best place to go when you combine opportunity to win with great city. Is someone really gonna choose New York over coming here if everything money wise is equal?

Why will we need any of the 2010 free agents?

I don't see someone going to NY
but I can see them just sticking with their own teams. Chicago has to be on everyone’s list, but they still need that extra nudge out the door. Let’s hope Miami and Cleveland have off years.

True
I think our best and probably only shot will be with D Wade as far as a GREAT player goes. But Boozer and Stoudamire will definitely be possibilities as well

I'd still rather have Bosh over both of them.
But Amare could come cheap(er).

Bosh over Wade? For serious?
Wade is a top 3 player in the league. Talent > position.
by Illini15 on Oct 29, 2009 10:04 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
We already have a future top 3 growing in the team
We need a PF and Bosh might be the answer

We needed a PF when we drafted Rose instead of Beasley.
Talent wins. You take the superstar if you can get him.

And about our problem at the PF position?
How do we solve that?

I meant versus Amare and Boozer.
I’ll take Wade all day.

Well I doubt Amare will be cheaper but
How could you want Bosh over Wade? Sure Bosh is a better fit but Wade will be in the hall of fame can we really say the same thing about Bosh? I say we should go for the best player available that we can get and that is Wade (Unless Lebron is a Cubs fan or something)

"go for the best player available"
True. It isn’t like we are in a candy store. Chances are only one or two of these guys will be on the move anyway.

Rose/Stoudamire/Noah still interests me.
But I am hoping for Wade. Our SG position is not nailed down at all.

And I don't even like Wade
but I could probably deal with it if he were a Bull. Playing against him two years in a row in the playoffs gave me an overdose of Wade in the media at the time.

Four Factors Analysis from the Game
Eff eFG FT/FG OREB% TOr
San Antonio 94.4 44.9% 19.2 17.8 14.4
Chicago 102.2 43.5% 22.6 29.4 10.0
Bulls dominated the glass, got to the line more, and turned it over on just 10% of their possessions. They were more or less even on shooting the ball. Spurs shot it a little better, but not much. Pretty dominant performance in terms of the Four Factors. 102.2 points per 100 possessions for the Bulls (not great, below league average last year), but allowing just 94.4 points per 100 possessions which would have been good for the best mark in the league last year by a WIDE margin.

He feels he did something wrong.. He realizes putting Tyrus in the bench would be bad idea. But the man sticks to his mind. He has a reason? i wanna hear it.

Bulls' 1st game...
Not a BG hater by any means but that’s the most ball movement i’ve seen by the Bulls in many years. The only way we know it is/isn’t because of BG being gone is if it continues through the season. Hope so. Great Win!
