Around SBN: My First Fight: Diego Sanchez

I thought he was a Bears guy? Interesting thoughts though.

''You may remember Gordon, Chicago's most unappreciated athlete over the past decade. Over the summer, there was a louder outcry over whether Derrick Rose cheated on a college entrance exam that has no effect on the Bulls than over Gordon signing a contract with the Pistons that could sting for years to come.''

That sting is in the back of my mind... you know it's coming sooner or later. Damn.

really?

I was just shocked someone wrote something fairly intelligent.

I've got this thing and it's fucking golden!

Yeah everything he said was correct

The biggest point he made to me, was how the story about Rose cheating on a test was a bigger story. To me that’s the problem of media and fans in our town. That’s why we’re at a stage in our sports history where we’re watching players that we had excel in other places. If we have players that don’t fit a certain protocol or fit our image of what we want to root for, we turn on them. Or our organizations doesn’t build around the talent we have or decide to go pay other players who are less deserving, more money.

Now people want to say that you couldn’t win a title with BG on the team. Not true. You couldn’t win a title with BG being the best player on the team. But a shooter like that is instrumental for a great young PG to win a title. It was up to the organization to not pay Deng that money and not to overpay for Kirk and to go out and find pieces to fit around players you could depend on.

See that’s the key, DEPENDABILITY. I knew what I was getting from BG every night and I know what I’ll get from Rose every night. What can I depend on when dealing with Kirk and Deng? Then they go and make them captains? This organization still doesn’t get it.

The organization

didn’t make Kirk and Deng captains……the other players did that.

Recipe for Disaster;
C'mon Cubs, hurry up and blow this so I can relax.

Expectations that readers of the Tribune

can even follow PER arguments is pretty crazy to me. Listen to the radio. Bulls fans had every Mike North opinion of Ben Gordon when they call in. Some of those views were from Skiles, but they were repeated so often that everyone just believes it. The same people probably think Michael Jordan won 6 rings by himself.

The best commentary is online because those writers have immediate access to massive amounts of data. I do wish they could get more players to talk back. Kevin Durant’s and Henry Abbot’s chats were interesting.

woah woah woah

Remember that David Haugh was the one who wrote that Noc was the next Dirk Nowitzki after the loss to Miami in the 06 playoffs. ( I dont have the link to back this up but I remember it because it was shockingly wrong.)

Whenever Haugh is on C T L its a disaster when they talk Bulls.

Good Bears writer though and because of Bears writing he deserved the promotion to columnist.

CLT is just a poohfuck although I do watch it... and Monsters at night.

Both shows have gotten better… but still bad. At times KC has seemed likable on CLT. Kaplin needs to stop with that spray tan shit.

I've got this thing and it's fucking golden!

Sam Smith compred Nocioni to Dirk as well.

It’s not like Haugh is the only one who consistently overrated the Bulls.

The 2009 White Sox....like a 40 degree day.
