Marc Gasol has a pretty good line there.

Not that he was playing against anyone of size, but still.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

Aldridge doesn't belong on that list, he's a pansy, and never put on a Bulls uniform.

And who needs DeJuan Blair? We have Malik Allen 2.0!

The 2009 White Sox....like a 40 degree day.

by Ozzie Montana on Oct 28, 2009 10:32 PM CDT reply actions   0 recs

And Malik Allen is still in the league, right?

That is what is important. 0_0 Blair’s knee might go out…in ten years. We need to get twenty years out of our guys. Hunter is almost there. Heck, he played with Issiah Thomas. You don’t get much more “value” out of a guy than that.

and his always soft defense. Holy crap he’s bad at defense.

I want Pop

Blair’s going to get really good playing for Popovich and the Spurs. Once he learn the Spurs defense he’s going to be scary on the glass.

anyone becomes good when playing for pop

thats because pop is a man with a constant plan. I think he is the perfect rival for phil jackson (the man who lets things go with the flow and just keeps everything flowing positively) popovich I think gets alot of say in who he wants put on his teams, and takes those players (guys like bowen, horry, roger mason jr and now blair) and puts them in position to succeed having that big three also helps cuz he is pretty much padded in the big positions (mainly he has an all star pg, and a super star low post which is traditionally the two big positions needed for success, then add in manu ginobli who fills in everything in the middle)

Ugh RIchard jefferson just helps that teams legs more than anything, parker i believe will be healthy this season, and manu and tim duncan might have older legs but richardson can carry the load allowing those two alot more rest, and blair gives them a player that can do the dirty work in the 2nd 3rd quarters to keep the game close….seriously that team is built perfectly…

he's already scary on the glass.

1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box

watched the Pistons

though only when Gordon was in the game and when they were on offense. He’s really spectacular to watch under those precise conditions :)

The Spurs and Celtics both looked incredible tonight

the Bulls are going to get slaughtered if they aren’t ready to play. 2 straight blowouts would be pretty demoralizing.

dunno, but he's signed through his prime

so we’ll see.

If only there was a way for this thread to be clearly labeled ‘former Bulls’, so you could avoid its nonsense!

Take Aldridge off this list...

And replace him with the likes of Ron Artest, since you are going way back in history…

Gordon with 26 tonight against the Bucks

unfortunately for him, the Pistons lost.
Off-topic, but if Brandon Jennings keeps this up, he is going to get some serious consideration for rookie of the year

Sam Smith
This Bulls team can’t make shots. The Bulls shot 40.9 percent Sunday and now are 41 percent for the season, 24th in the NBA and 28th in points scored. You’d bring up Ben Gordon, though the Pistons are 29th in points scored.

Jackass.

BG

looks good right now. He is averaging 24pts, shooting 50% FG, 41% from the 3, FT% at 91% , Rebs- 4.1, Ast-2.8 and 1.3 STL.
Not bad at all. In all 4 games so far he has scored 22,25,26 and 23. Did he do that here? We will see how long he keeps that up.

I've seen pieces of games

I can’t say I’ve noticed anything especially different. I suppose the ball is in his hands more since he’s not playing with a PG.

There are some highlights up on youtube

People actually like him there. It is shocking. He also looks good defensively, fighting through screens, creative passing and decent assist numbers, coming away with a few more rebounds, drawing fouls (watch him in the Magic game)… People want him to be the 6th man still…and hey, it works. When your have a SG like Rip being a 6th man is ok. Much different from being behind Dunhon for example. If BG keeps coming off the bench he’ll either get 6th man or at least be in the top three.

His game vs the Raptors was kind of scary it was flawless. Though Bynum and Stuckey weren’t really looking for him until it was too late even though he had 21 of his 30 in the first half.

being behind rip is better

than duhon sure, but rip and ben have been on a similar plane for awhile now and i’d give ben the edge. especially cause he’s 5 years younger.

you're right

actually he’s started all but 1. but that’s because rip’s injured, not because they think he deserves it.

Thanks, I didn't know why.

I check the box scores of a few teams and noticed he’d started a few games.

no problem..

i just noticed one of the things said on nba.com “started in place of injured rip” so i checked and indeed rip has only played one game this season.

He is hitting his prime and it is starting to show. He is their future and not as a 6th man. He is proving that to them now. They will keep RIP until the last year of his new contract.
