Bill Simmons called it. Also, what a horrible thing to happen to a beast and a seemingly great kid.

What do you mean he called it? What did he say?

He wrote an open letter to Griffin telling him not to show up to Clips camp because they were cursed and his knees would explode.

Now his knee done cracked.

I remember reading that

not only is it sad, but it’s absolutely ridiculous that this keeps happening with Clippers draft picks. I really want to deny the existence of sports curses, but I feel like it gets increasingly difficult every year.

it's also always horrible

when Simmons has more fuel for his ego.

blah

I was hoping to see him showcase against the Lakers defense tonight. Oh well. Still should be two great ones on TNT tonight.

In the gym today, I got to thinking about the Clippers(I don't randomly think about the Clipps, ESPN was showing the injury on TV)

and realized that they are stacked with some legit size and talent.
Their starters(including Griffin) are really good(B-Dizzle, Eric Gordon, Al Thornton, Griffin and Camby/Kaman. The bench runs pretty deep as well, with Craig Smith, Rasual Butler, Kaman/Camby and Ricky Davis. They have three starters that could very feasibly post 20+ points per night in Davis, Gordon and Thornton and could put out a lineup of Davis, Gordon, Thornton, Griffin and Kaman, all guys who can get their own shot and can go for 25-30 on a given night. I know they won’t be much of a team because ya know, they’re the Clippers, but they could be pretty good.

Metal sharpens metal.

And this guy right here understands and knows what leadership is all about: The coach, the hall of famer......... Dick Butka! George Ryan

i thought the same thing last year...

it appears that they have the talent, but something is really really wrong with that team. They had another terrible year last year and I have to wonder if it is the coaching.

Sean Livingston should be back this year as well right? Was it last year he suffered that terrible injury? They are way deeper than us as a team it appears. It is either the coaching or just a mix of players with a non-winning attitude. Maybe a bunch of them are just there to collect checks.
