Around SBN: Randy Moss A Raven?

Ben Wallace is happy now. That wasn't the case for years.

"You could say the last year in Detroit and a couple of years in Chicago," the Cleveland power forward said, meaning he was actually unhappy for close to three years.

After leaving Detroit for a four-year, $60 million free agent contract with Chicago before the 2005-06 season, things went downhill fast for Wallace, the four-time Defensive Player of the Year who is now in his 13th season.

The Bulls stunk. And Wallace, by virtue of his contract, was being blamed. In the meantime, his teammates sulked because of trade rumors, contract extensions, and the Christmas Eve 2007 firing of coach Scott Skiles.

I guess $60 million isn't enough to make a guy happy these days

Why resort to name calling?

Well,

after taxes its really more like $35mil, and in this economy that doesn’t go very far so cut him some slack. Not to mention, he had to live in Detroit for more than 10 minutes.

The only thing I could see Ben being kind of depressed about was

I remember he had a death in his family like right after the championship and I think all of his Piston teammates became more so like brothers to him.
But they said the last year in detroit so had to throw that one out.

seriously

the fans aren’t dumb… if he hadn’t sucked, the blame would have gone elsewhere… but he sucked and we all knew it!

Well at least the feeling

was/is mutual.

The one grain of truth amongst that pile of bullshit
“During the off-season I just made a commitment to the game and to myself to stay healthy and happy,” he said.

I can believe that he needed to make that commitment this past off-season, because he obviously hadn’t in his time with us.
