4 Way Trade Proposal

Bored at work so I thought of a trade

Seeing as the Bulls will not be winning a championship in the next two years with this team in the next two years Here is a trade that can help them and definitely wont hurt their chances.

*This will probably never get done but Paxson probably wont make a trade this year anyway. and this is the middle of the season and it is kind of hard to restructure your team if you are Houston.

 http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=1711~2381~3207~1981~356~3030~976~2834~2763~532~2793~617~2759~2010~615&teams=13~10~13~13~28~10~28~28~4~4~28~10~4~10~4&te=&cash=

The Bulls look like                                       The Lakers Look Like

Rose/Hunter/Head                                      Hinrich/Fisher

Mcgrady/Head/Sefolosha                           Bryant/Sasha Vujacic

Deng/Sefolosha/Grahm                             Walton/Ariza/Radmonovic

Thomas/Nocioni/Grahm                            Gasol/Gooden/Radmonovic

Oneal/Noah                                                  Bynum/Powell

The Rockets look like                               The Raptors look like

Alston/Brooks                                            Calderon/Solomon

Gordon/Kapono/Barry                              Hughes/Parker/Wafer

Artest/Barry/Kapono                                 Battier/Moon/Wafer

Odom/Scola/Landry                                 Bosh/Hayes

Yao/Scola/Mutombo                                Bargnani/Voskul/Gray

Why the Bulls do it? If I am Paxson I try and get Mcgrady and O'neal even in seperate deals. Gordon and Gooden are above average players but probably wont be on the team next year and we are not winning with Gooden and with Gordon without adding a all star player which willl probably take a few years either through free agency or developing a young player. Hinrich is becoming irrelevant with Rose and his conract is too much for a back up guard that is not good at creating his own shot. Larry Hughes is also just expendable. The reason I get Mcgrady and O'neal is because both are former all star level players that can help Rose get better by adding talent around him and taking pressure off of him, Tyrus, and Noah. Their contracts expire in two years in time to get  Wade and/or Amare.(Thats 40 mil off the books) We keep Tyrus and Noah(unless Toronto wants him) and Sefolosha( unless Houston wants him If they do want him we can exchange sefolosha for Wafer) But this allows us to develop the young players we keep by taking pressure off of them to be PERFECT and we still keep Tyrus and let him focus on defense and gets his confidence up by getting him open shots. Deng would be the fourth option which is a great fourth option. O'neal and Mcgrady with Rose can contend with any team in a year. If  we dont make it to the finals next year we can sign wade in 2010 to play with Rose. *Mcgrady and O'neal are oft injured and can go down but it is a risk for every team.

Why the Lakers do it? They need help at PG and Lamar Odom is expendable because he is a free agent after this year, alsso Gooden is a good back up to Gasol/Bynum and would provide help down low for them where Odom plays a lot on the perimeter where Ariza and Sasha plays also.

Why the Rockets do it? They have not gotten out of the first round with Mcgrady and I think their roster is better with Odom and Gordon than Mcgrady. They might not want to give up on Battier but They are still better with Gordon, Odom, Scola around Yao and Artest than with Mcgrady and Scola.

Why the Raptors do it? Battier fills a need, Larry Hughes is an upgrade over Parker and his contract is up after two years if they are going to sign Bosh. They are not winning and need a shake up and more talent. *They might not do it because they dont get a big name, but Hayes and Battier for O'Neal is pretty good and Wafer is playing good off the bench, They need to get deper and surround Bosh with Talent.

Good Job!

"You remember the first time you picked up a basketball video game and you had no idea how to run plays, so you just gave the ball to your shooter and you ran around the court aimlessly until a defender was far enough away and then you jacked up a shot? THAT IS LARRY HUGHES!"

That must have taken a long time to think about that.

Just stopping by

Over at Blazers Edge it got so bad that Dave established the ‘Trade Drawer", and all trade suggestions and general trade talk must go in there or the post will be deleted. There’s a new Trade Drawer each day.

There’s a ton of trade posts here too (for good reason, of course) and I think you guys should do the same thing. Will seriously de-clutter thangs.

I don’t know why Paxson doesn’t just trade Nocioni, Gooden, and Hughes for Chris Bosh. Seems like a no brainer to me, and his post scoring would really help the Bulls out. Plus, he’s a young player still and could grow alongside Rose. The Raptors go for it because they need an athletic wing like Hughes and obviously Nocioni makes any team better with his amazing hustle that is always effective and never stupid. And, everyone knows Bosh is going to leave them so they should get value while they can.

If need be, Pax can throw in some 2nd round picks as well; maybe that Omar Asik guy too (it’s tough to give him up already, but to get something valuable you have to give value).

I kinda like the separate posts....

Although most trade ideas are unrealistic/unfeasible/flat out ridiculous, this is the place to post out your ideas. At the least, it gives me something to read and laugh at.

As for de-cluttering….since when was webspace such an issue? At least we can clearly see what we’re getting into before we click on the post. I’d hate to have to search through 100s of comments and posts just to “kick the tires” on our team.

On Bedge it's a major issue

It’s impossible to find fanshots older than 10 days old there, let alone fanposts, which go up every hour on the hour, and often 3 or 4 at a minimum every hour. So, yeah, what Mortimer said makes sense.

No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. It's simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get tangled, you tango on

I wish Mortimer was the Raptor's GM!

I would trade Nocioni and Hughes for 2009 expiring crap.

This sounds better:

Charlotte gets: Kirk Hinrich, Joakim Noah
Bulls get: Gerald Wallace, Shannon Brown – just to make it work

Clippers get: Andres Nocioni
Bulls get: Chris Kaman

It’ll never happen but I was “Bored at work so I thought of a trade”

I too was bored at work...

Had 2 ideas/thoughts…

  1. - Can we trade our entire roster for Lebron James?
  1. - Is it possible to build one of those mentos/diet coke rockets big enough to reach outer space?

Nocioni has an Olympic gold medal, a bronze medal and a EuroLeague MVP, and now… His legs are broken! Coming to an arena near you.
