Drew Gooden said he planned to play Tuesday night against Sacramento after an MRI performed on his sprained right ankle Monday showed no further damage. Gooden participated in part of Monday's practice and will test his ankle again at Tuesday's shootaround.

Gooden has missed eight games with his injury.

Also, Kirk Hinrich said he plans to begin practicing later this week as he continues to recover from right thumb surgery. Hinrich, who tore a ligament in his thumb on Nov. 7, has begun shooting and dribbling on his own.

Something Big?

I though you were going to say a big trade….something big like start winning with Hinrich and Gooden back? I don’t know. I don’t see the point in winning anymore. Those guys I think should be trade bait anyways.

Vinny is a con man!!!!!

I did mean trade actually

and a bunch of other things. I feel suddenly the bulls will uncover a rotation, make some noise by the deadline, and suddenly be chasing that mid playoff seed.

Uh oh here comes Rew Gooden *goes to trade machine*

He has been (alone with Gordon) the guy to keep us steady offensively early in the 1st quarters. (still have no idea why we always start slow)

You have no idea why we start slow?

The team trots out a defensively deficient lineup and you have no idea why we start slow?

Who out of Gray, Gooden, Deng, Gordon and Rose would you consider an average defender? Deng? Maybe?

I gotta pretty good idea why we start slow. I am just sayin’

Just out of curiosity

Why is it that our defense has looked generally worse when injuries forced us to substitute Thabo and Tyrus for Deng and Gooden?

The former two guys have generally been called good defenders and the latter two guys have generally been called average or worse.

heh

Coach Gooden chimes in:

“I just think we’ve lost our focus and we need to be more aggressive defensively,” Gooden said. “We can’t score the ball always. We have to find our identity before it’s too late. Defense is our Achilles’ heel right now. We’re letting teams score on us too easily.”

Gotta love the fact that we have an extra coach on the floor…between him and Noc both talking about the lack of D, I’m not sure which one sickens me more. Yes I am, it’s Noc.
