I can't say I completely disagree with him about Noah, but the part about "Nocioni is to defensive effort what a tornado chaser is to bad hair" is pretty funny. Effort and effectiveness are two completely different things.

His points have been noted on BaB for awhile.

Noah makes unnecessary waves in the locker room, in the media, and most recently, on the court…all the while contributing very little on the court.

I think the mistake Morrisey makes is singling out Noah, especially when Tyrus Thomas has contributed very little on the court, while making equally boneheaded decisions to the media and in the lockerroom. Morrisey somehow justifies Thomas’ role on the team by saying he has physical skills no one else has…I ask, what skills are those? He jumps high?

Morrisey also asserts that Larry Hughes has value until Hinrich returns from injury…? Is there value in being a poor shooting, ball hogging black hole with the defensive skills of a fourth grader?

So I understand why Morrisey picks on Noah, he deserves, but so do Tyrus and Larry…in fact, all three should be shown the door to restore locker room harmony.

So should Nocioni, right?

Tyrus is a unique athlete is what he was saying I think and I do agree

His whole point was Noah isn’t creditable or doesn’t bring much to the table. At least they all bring their lunch though.

Did you know that Jan. 9th is Comcast Collectors Lunch Box night at the UC?

I wonder if Noah, Hughes and Thomas grace the Thermos?

Larry Hughes should be Marburried. Period.

Bulls have been loosing ever since they drafted Noah.

I’m not blaming him but that is a fact. Maybe he causes problems. Makes you wonder.

Vinny is a con man!!!!!

Only if you don't know where to look.

There are guys worse than him that have been given more playing times in his two-and-a-half years. That should make you wonder.

Especially since, like Thomas, he was a huge part of a winning college program and often called a vocal or emotional catalyst. Not that that makes a player good, but when the opposite is now being said about these players, that should make you wonder.

Yeah but they have good player around them in college.

In the NBA he’s a back up who can give you spurts of energy off the bench. He would do well behind a guy like Kaman. Just a dirty work player.

Vinny is a con man!!!!!

by ImmanuelKant on Jan 5, 2009 10:01 AM CST up reply actions

That was completely opposite the point.

I’m talking about personalities. You’re talking about playing abilities. Their reps in college were completely opposite of the ones they’ve garnered in Chicago.

Immanuelkant, you are a moron!!!!!

The Bulls have been loosing ever since they pushed out Phil

and with him, the Dynasty. Organizations win titles. Well whotf turns the greatest team in history into Clippers East??? The team is run like a carnival, one big hoax. To single out Noah is moronic. If he was gone, G O N E, how would we be improved? Oh, yeah, Cedric Simmons would be blossoming. Stupidest column I’ve ever read.

The only guy we really *NEED* to get rid of immediately is Hughes

I won’t say I have tremendous faith in Noah or Thomas, but if they act up, so what?

Hughes, on the other hand, is a vested $26M problem that everyone saw coming when we got through this summer and didn’t trade him (or anyone else). They needed to be rid of him months ago.

Rick Morrisey

Anybody who is stupid enough to agree with Rick Morrisey, doesn’t have a brain in their heads, or if they have one it’s dead.
This is a guy who killed Joakim Noah when the Bulls drafted him. He didn’t even wait until the kid had played a game for the Bulls. The nasty piece he wrote about Noah when the Bulls drafted him, should have gotten him fired. It was childish and stupid.
The fact that the Tribune employs a moron like him says a lot about the paper.

Rick Morissey is a dumbass, anyone who reads his articles realize this

And now Jay freaking Mariotti is writing for Fanhouse??? What is this world coming to?

Vinny Del Negro interviewed for the job today. I mean come on! Nobody else thinks this is nuts?

Replacing Bernie Lincicome with Rick Morrissey

is like replacing Scottie Pippen with Andres Nocioni.

He's got grit!

And fire!
[Sadly, he’s not on fire. That would be entertaining.]

"You remember the first time you picked up a basketball video game and you had no idea how to run plays, so you just gave the ball to your shooter and you ran around the court aimlessly until a defender was far enough away and then you jacked up a shot? THAT IS LARRY HUGHES!"
