Light Bulb Moment.... Maybe (Bulls/Wizards trade)

While going thru my morning routine of reading up on my favorite teams at my desk.  I can across this interesting lil tidbit on hoopsworld:

http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=11329

So that got me to thinking, well if we're giving up Hughes and that big expiring contract of his (remember this isn't for this year), we gonna have to get back something more than Etan.  Don't get me wrong I'd love to add an healthy Etan Thomas to this squad, but he's not that valuable.  So who could we get?  That led me to this :

Caron Butler and Etan Thomas for Hughes, Thabo, and Omer Asik (I just threw him in as a future draft pick)

Butler is the best of the Wizards supposed Big 3, but they just re-upped with Gil and Antawn (Grunfeld-decision), so Butler ends up being the one most available.  We can then sign and trade Ben for a big man, and we keep Hinrich and Noc as bait too.  Butler slides right into the 2 spot beside Rose.  This automatically makes us better defensively and adds some much need veteran leadership and toughness.

Bulls Rotation:                                                       Wizards Rotation:

PG Rose / Hinrich                                                  PG: Areanas / Daniels

SG Butler / Gordon                                                 SG: Hughes / Stevenson

SF Deng / Nocioni                                                   SF: Young / McGuire

PF Tyrus Thomas /  Etan Thomas                       PF: Jamison / Blatche

C Noah / Gray                                                           C: Haywood / McGhee
