Joel Brigham, from Hoopsworld, thinks that the Bulls should keep Deng, Tyrus and, obviously, Rose. Everyone else is expandable. Especially Del Negro and Pax

I'm still down with Noah...

I think it’s the older guys like Hinrich, Nocioni, Gordon, Gooden that I wouldn’t mind parting with. If your going to build around Rose why not just keep Noah and Thomas around and see how they develop with better vets around and a top notch free agent. Just my humble opinion…I think you need a mix of youth and vets.

As far as Pax and Vinny we might be stuck with them it seems right?

Noah's been a beast this month

7.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks in 21.6 minutes. His lack of muscle is the only thing separating him from deserving 30+ mpg.

Why does everyone wanna trade Noah and Thomas?

They’re young athletic and fit with Rose’s up tempo pace and the trade value is low so you’re not getting anything better.

I agree.

I don’t want to lose either of them. But I don’t want Noah starting. Noah has value as a back-up at PF and Center. If we could just get a half decent center we would be alot better.

If he puts on muscle this offseason

He’s a quality starting center. Biedrins and Chandler do nothing more and deserve their 10+ million/year contracts.

I'd like to keep

Joakim, but I think in order to best part ways with some of the others, one of the Noah and Tyrus tandem needs to go.

I think Joakim’s the safest choice as I see a starting C for several year’s in him, especially once he bulks up (if he bulks up) he’d be very good for a while and think he’s definitely showing signs of getting it all)…..

But I think Tyrus still has that upside that says he stays. He can do everything in waves, just not together.

Agreed

Gordon, Rose, Tyrus, Deng, Noah
That should be our main starting five.

Then we have Thabo, Gray, and Simmons off the bench.

Get a young F and G from trading Hinrich/Hughes/Gooden/Noch away.
Serigo Rodriguez is a perfect G fr this team IMO.

Let the young players play with each other and develop.
Then in 2010 add the last piece and then go win championships.

OK lets see...

BG’s Usage rate is lower then its ever been, his assist ratio is higher and his FG attemtps are about the same even though he is playing 3 minutes per game MORE then he ever has. But he is still a ball hog?!?!?! There are three players on the team that I would consider ball hogs, Gooden, Hughes, and Nocioni. When those three players get the ball, they’re gonna shoot, period. I am so tired of this “Ben Gordon is a ball hog” crap. These haters are gonna miss him when he’s gone.

Relevance

Ball hog when the player that should be getting the ball most of the time is Derrick Rose. With Gordon out there Rose is sharing it.

In the future we need Rose dominating the ball. I like Gordon as as Rip Hamilton run around the screens and catch and shoot guy, but this isn’t Gordon’s game. He wants the ball to create. He lacks the size combination to go with his skill to make him most effective controlling the ball more often.

I think moving forward the five guys on the roster I want to keep are Rose, Thomas, Deng, Noah, and Thabo. Gordon is in my second tier of keeps, but I easily move him for shooter-slasher with more height. I think Rose’s scoring ability is going to supplant whatever we’ll need from Gordon.

12/31: Fire Vinny Del Negro.
