Bring back Eddy Curry

First of, if we trade Hughes to get Simmons and Ager, we are sending a guard for 2 guards in return. We already have Thabo, Gordon, Rose, Hinrich and Hunter. We dont wanna do that. If we are gonna trade "Big Shot" (self proclaimed?) Larry, then we should be after a big man. The New York Knicks are clearing up space for 2010, and are not really using Eddy Curry. We should just offer Hughes for Curry straight up.

Eddy at the center, and Joakim at the 4 spot. Maybe they could compliment each other, Eddy for offense and Joakim for rebounding, and hustle.

They will probably still want him to take the heart test and Eddy probably has bad feelings about that.

I really don’t like Eddy as a player but I would actually go for this. Eddy can only do one thing, that is score inside, he can’t rebound or play D but the motherfucker can score. Here’s the thing, he is a ball-stopper, total black hole and now we need the middle clear for Derrick. I don’t know how Derrick can penetrate the lane with Eddy’s big KFC eating ass in the middle.

We are working too hard to just get rid of Larry. Just sit his ass down, “Marbury” him for the whole year. He will be much more valuable next year. Just sit him down for now.

The best reason for pursing a 2010 plan

is that the list of guys I see available with post-2010 salary is absolutely woeful.

People who say maybe we should start taking on salary and not play for 2010 need to look at these guys. Even if we keep what we have and make a play for some of these guys, does it get us anywhere?

Curry
AK-47
Vince Carter
Troy Murphy?

See where I’m going with this? Imagine we could add several of these guys for next to nothing. Does it solve our problems? Does it make us anything close to contenders?
