I don't do the open thread thing, but what are your announcers like?

Ours are huge homers. I’m getting the Bulls feed on League Pass.

I'm a Blazers fan and If you ban me from your blog, I'll sue you!

Our announcers are pretty awful. Tune 'em out if need be.

Thanks and good luck

I hope it’s a good game. The football over the weekend has me hungry to watch a competitive sporting event.

Shoot....

I just posted this in a game thread, that Matt will probably, and should probably delete, since this one got up first…

But let’s take a moment to reflect on some old reputations of players in the 2006 draft.

Nate

doesn’t allow his players to wear headbands but LmA got an elbow in the ear vs the Pistons and gets to wear one. We haven’t seen a Blazer in a headband since Bonzi Wells.

Oden dominated the Bulls frontcourt.

At this point it’s like bragging that a normal-sized guy beat up a midget. You can do it, it just makes you look retarded.

"You remember the first time you picked up a basketball video game and you had no idea how to run plays, so you just gave the ball to your shooter and you ran around the court aimlessly until a defender was far enough away and then you jacked up a shot? THAT IS LARRY HUGHES!"

its unfortunate that vdn doesnt realize that no one

A lot of bad plays that game. He took a 15 foot fadeaway jumpshot that missed the rim!

So, really, how bad is our coach?

We were playing really well until he decided it was a good idea to put Noc at the 4 with Gooden at 5 and let Gooden guard Oden. Oden then abused him 4 straight possessions and the Bulls haven’t really recovered since.

Oh yeah, then he put Hughes in for no reason as well. And benched Thabo, who was our best player tonight. Just unbelievable.

Vintage VDN. Thabo is playing the best 1st quarter of his career but he isn’t on the floor at the end of the second? So Noc does what Noc does (leave his man) and the Bulls are down 4 at the half. Thanks coach!

We (Blazers) are very lucky

to be ahead. Deng and Hinrich looked rusty, as expected— if they were at full speed you guys would be up for sure.

That was Oden’s best or 2nd best half of the season. Not likely to continue at that pace. We’ll need a good 2nd half from Roy in order to get the W.

Because Martell Webster is the normal starter and is hurt

Nate likes to keep his second unit intact. Rudy is a 2 not a 3. Batum is a good starter because he doesn’t need to take shots away from the first unit and he is a good defender and rebounder.

Bayless gets very limited minutes

His shot has been awful so far this year. He is pretty good on D, he jumps passing lanes and is very intense. He is good at driving to the hoop, but needs work on finishing.

Petteri is playing in Europe this year. We were damn close to signing him this year but KP gave his spot to Shavlik Randolph.

Another garbage game for Rose -

kid’s missing layups he made easily earlier this year; no jumpshots; and is possibly the worst defensive point guard in the league.

Really depressing.
