Ben Gordon getting Wadeish

Anyone notice Ben Gordon has been adding those Dwyane Wade bank shots to his game recently? He’s improving a lot on those. He tried it a bit last year, but it was a lot less effective.

Westbrook will be a very good player.

I think competition only helps focus and exalt players, so I dont see why one should root against westbrook, generally speaking. in fact, one should respect westbrook because even when he is very sloppy, he almost always plays aggressively. Rose could maybe learn some of that frm him.

sure, me too.

but i want his accolades to reflect his production and not draft position/reputation/status in a big market. rose has tapered off a bit; regardless of his awards, i would just like to see him turn that around.

by TheMoon on Jan 10, 2009 8:14 PM CST up reply actions

When we get everyone healthy...

Is there any reason the rotation shouldn’t be…

Rose/Ben/Deng/Gooden/Tyrus starting.

Hinrich/Thabo/Noah?

Any minutes given to Noce, Larry, Hunter, or Gray are completely wasted, IMO.

Vinny Del Negro does not want this team to win, that can be the most logical solution. Larry Hughes and Nocioni playing more than 30 minutes. Posting up Drew Gooden 7 consecutive times like the Thunder had no idea it was coming when you have Ben Gordon and Derrick fucking Rose on the team.

This game would have been over in regulation if the Thunder weren’t so shitty themselves and just let Durant dominate us.

I’m going to the game monday. Last year I had to sit through a blow out loss against the Spurs where Boylan barely played Gordon. I don’t feel like going to another game that’s a blowout. If Bulls get blown out, or show no heart, it’s the last game I’m going to in a long time.

Russell Westbrook played dumb

Not hard. There’s a fine distinction in leading your team to victory and just making boneheaded decisions. He redeemed himself on the boards, and that is the one area Rose HAS to get better at. Westbrook already understands how to use his speed to get boards. He jacks up a shot and just races to the hoop, it’s that simple. A little guy in the paint causes commotion, Derrick needs to start doing that.

seems like they ask him to try let other player develop go-to moves and confidence....

only when team trails by 6 or more with 2 minutes to play, then he takes it to the hoop. i remember during this OT when score was like 105 – 98, and i thought.. D rose is gonna drive right now cause it’s too late and the game is slipping and he can’t rely on others anymore…

and he did. I wish he would automatically do it until the team LEADS by 6 or more!

by simonswiss on Jan 10, 2009 10:38 PM CST up reply actions

They ran the same play 8 times in the 4th quarter

Pass to Gooden, assume the Thunder are retards and will fall for his 5th grade ballhandling and let him score. When he had position 5 feet away it was nice. When he’s 20 feet away, it looks like a monkey is calling the plays.

If Rose was given rein to drive to the hoop he would have done it at one of those possessions.

Bad coaching

I get real irritated watching this team play. Vinny seems like he doesn’t know when to sit Rose and when to bring him in. Tyrus was doing good and he didn’t play almost the whole fourth quarter. Ben Gordon and Larry Hughes are both poison and I hope they both are traded this season, they f-ed up two plays that could of eventually won the game. Derrick Rose can’t get in a good rythm if he is not playing through the games, I know he needs his rest but choose the right times. Selfish players and bad coaching = bad team.

Blogs aren’t all that profitable unless you blowup, like Nate Silver.

I could put it on something like blogspot or wordpress.com, and make all profits from having no costs, but I don’t like that lack of freedom. Although I don’t mind paying the money for hosting, as it is very much a hobby.

With my new advertising client, I am getting a little more ad revenue, so with a little more site growth, the site might start paying for itself, with no outside money using to keep it afloat.

I'd like to thank the Bulls for wasting my money...

… this is my last game of the season unless a major trade is pulled. Look for my tickets at a deep discount on Craigslist.

I'm ready for the organizational cleansing!

Just freaking start firing everyone from Benny the Bull to VDN to JP and then we find JR and kidnap him. We make him work at like UPS for a week and then make him watch the Bulls at night to show him what a crappy product the whole thing has become.

I'd rather have Sam Presti as GM

Trade Ben,Hughes,fire Vinny

Maybe trade Gooden too, for the right price, maybe even Noah. In return, get someone like Spencer Hawes, a first round pick and a good tall, defensive shooting guard to share minutes with Thabo. If this happens this team will be better.

Hopefully Rose wins RotY thats pretty much all I can see happening thats positive or that can happen.

by Camry on Jan 10, 2009 11:00 PM CST reply actions

As much as I like Rose and think he'll be good

I really have ODed on the hype. Really I thought he would do better with Tyrus Thomas but oh well. There is just so much bad on this team right now it makes it really hard to feel good about anything Bulls. Not saying Rose has sucked at all, I just though he and Tyrus would mesh. Yeah and that his jump shot is fairly in consistent but he’s a rookie I know. Other than that he’ll be pretty good.

by ImmanuelKant on Jan 10, 2009 11:06 PM CST up reply actions

Well Tyrus has been playing pretty good for about a month now

And unless he does what he’s supposed to do on offense (cut to the hoop, attack, set good picks), Rose can’t make him a better player. It’s a mutual relationship. Tyrus can make Rose look like a phenom if he’s turning his passes into easy dunks, and Rose can make him look awesome by finding him right at the hoop or wide open for a jumpshot.

Dude if I was the coach I would have TT and Rose running plays

all night! Lobs all night to Tyrus. Go get it!

Mr. Paxson you have been arrested for destroying the Chicago Bulls! Come out of the Betro center with your hands up! -then I woke up and we got 9 inches of snow.

I think one big intangible that will give this team playoff hopes for years with Rose is when his leadership ability comes into form

I think a lot of players go through this where guys might not be in it mentally in the locker room or even in games. And coaches are kind of stuck waiting to see that.

But of course in this case its just a disaster around Rose.

by Camry on Jan 10, 2009 11:27 PM CST up reply actions

Definately Noc too

Point blank we need solid, not selfish players around Derrick Rose, He will make his team better. The last two years the Bulls went 0-9(I believe) starting off the year. Rose came in and changed that. Just like Lebron, Rose will make his teammates better, but he needs the right ones around him.

by chi on Jan 10, 2009 11:02 PM CST reply actions

For the people saying Rose has been outplayed

He just needs to shoot more and be more aggressive. And he can’t do that with players like Hughes and Gordon. Tyrus just started getting it together and Rose is hitting the rookie wall, they will be fine together.

Really I know Bulls fans pay a shit ton of money but they need to stop

showing for games. It’s not fair to the people who wanna see them win!

good chance they'd win the suit!

so bush league thru out the Org. Complete overhaul needed from GM to TV announcers.
Maybe just keep the Luv-a-Bulls, Benny and Rose!

man up!

What was with Stacey King screaming

oohhhhhhh Earl Watssssssssssssssson!!!!! The Bulls just lost who wants to hear that? The pass Watson made was fair basic any normal pro would make. I though Magic was on OKC the way he got all stupid.

I need like a substitute for the Bulls right now.

I should take up piano lessons and comeback in 2010 and see if I like them or I could play piano at hole in the wall joints for money and just say hey we owned the 90’s it was good but you move on in life. Write a few songs about the Bulls.

I wonder how much time and energy we waste watching is pooh? Too much.
