Around SBN: Tottenham's Plans for Northumberland Stadium Approved

Heading into Wednesday's action, Gordon was tied for third in 3-pointers made with 77, trailing Orlando's Rashard Lewis (90) and Atlanta's Mike Bibby (79).

Of the top 10 players in 3-pointers made per game, only San Antonio's Roger Mason Jr. (.477) and Bibby (.441) have a higher percentage than Gordon's .435.

Asked if he'd be disappointed not to be invited this year, Gordon said, "No, it's not a big deal to me. But it is something that would be nice to be a part of. I've never been in a contest like that before. It would definitely be fun."

See Tyrus...

this is how you act about all-star festivities!

My name isn't Ron... I run a DJ and Karaoke business named Kidron Music... my name is Jesse...

You forget, predictably (not you specifically, but anyone)...

…that Thomas was already donating his Slam Dunk winnings to charity and then said he was “only doing it for the money”. ::sigh::

Viva la nuance! Reading comprehension rules!!!

it's hard to say

i think he had already made up his mind that the money was going to charity, but it had previously been unreported, so whether he had shared that info with anyone is unknown.

that, and newspapers take quotes out of context all the time. especially KC, who (from some other thread) has admitted he likes getting controversial comments. even if the full comment was “i’m in it for the free money [for my former hs]” or wherever it was going, it’s really, really easy to just end the sentence where it stirs shit up.

Not sure he'd do that well

seems like the best candidates are the stand-still shooters with the quick release. Gordon actually jumps for his jumpshots.

He might have to take a meandering dribble first too :)

Yeah, even though BG's a good 3 pt shooter

He has to do a crossover, or something to make it, so he might struggle. But, i still want him there and respresenting Chicago at least. (unlike Tyrus)

What happens when Kirk comes back?

I think hes one of the best at doing both pretty much o:

He makes shots coming off screens a good percentage I think

Definetly

He might be one of the best. When hinrich was a pg, skiles actually had a few plays where it would end would gordon getting an off ball screen, catching the ball immediately off the screen and just hitting the turnaround j with such ease. He didnt have to look at the rim, it was a natural act. Always amazed me. But yea, i dont think thats the same as just catching and shooting. Theres movement involved, and i think gordon needs the movement to make his shots especially from long range.

On Behalf of Sue, Wjb, Bullshooter, and all the other Hinrich fans...Ill keep the Hinrich Hope coming...There will be light....

Isn't that to just get open though

I usually see him knocking down shots when the ball movement is going good.

by Camry on Jan 2, 2009 9:22 PM CST up reply actions

Eh

Do u remember when kirk got injured and rose and gordon started playing with each other. Gordon would get the ball at the arch, and he would put it down. A few times he would act like he was gonna take the 3, you could hear the crowd get ready for the “YEA!!”s but realize that gordon was just faking it and would put it down and dribble at least once before he took it. He always does that if you notice him. He catches the ball dribbles once even when wide open and then takes the shot. The only time he doesnt put the ball down is when the other team isnt gonna bother to guard him, then he lines up his shot then takes it.

The 3pt comp. is all about speed and accuracy of 3pt shots. Its not just hitting as many as you can of 30 shots, but its also doing it quickly. Ben might be a great shooter but i dont think hed be the right kind of shooter for the 3pt comp. I of course in no way work with ben and maybe he can easily adapt…
