Is he really necessary? Or are the Bulls THAT desperate?

He's literally the most inept offensive player in the league

And yes, that includes Ben Wallace. At least Wallace occasionally hit a fadeaway. I guess the Bulls really love playing 4-on-5.

urgh

not the most inspiring of signings

I'm now convinced

Paxson does like players that score points, or he’s in love with offensively challenged players!

United Center - I called 911 during the summer of 2006, the situation hasn't improved, now inactivity during the summer of 2008 will require the national guard.

I'm not mad at this

Ruffin can contribute. Of course not on offense.

But he does those little things Bulls management love so much

To the Bulls

an offensive minded player would have been the risky path. Always. Better get a guy who could manage those “little things” while doing nothing to the scoreboard I guess.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

i agree

people are freaking out bout this, but if we had gotten some guy like Collison, people would be complaining about how they are taking away minutes from Thomas and Noah. Ruffin will play against bigger more physical opponents on the defensive end. Period. And he won’t threaten Noah or Thomas’ minutes.

The rotation will be Gooden/Noah/Tyrus and Ruffing will get in when those guys are playing sub-par. The level of freak out on this board is way too big at times.

after thinking about it

i mean you’re right. but also, the one point no one has made is that his contract is NOT GUARANTEED. he may still not make the team!

Why?

Ruffin is not a good basketball player. I would rather have Juwon Howard.

me too

and you already know how i feel about juwan given the other thread.

Maybe its a mind game

Think bout it…by signing this guy, Gooden, TT and Noah all HAVE to play harder, getter more boards and do the little nitty gritty hustle things on a daily basis. Same goes for the guards..they all have to play hard. To me this season is gonna be fun, cuz after it ends – ull be able to sniff out the herbs from the studs.

I’d rather take a chance on Elton Brown
