New season tickets devoid of Players

Matt,

In keeping with the Bulls New Marketing Plan, I received my 11 game package today and the tickets  did not have a single Bull player on them.

There were 4 pictures of fans cheering (probably from 2007), 3 pictures of the scoreboard during pregame introductions, 2 long shots of the court with a game in progress, 1 picture of VDN, and 1 of Benny fondling some young boy.

I guess that means the Bulls are confident they will not be trading Benny.  I suspect it also means they expect to make major personnel changes before the season is out.

Maybe they were so embarrased by the Wallace headband thing

but that was two seasons ago.

This franchise is so goofy.

You’d think they’d at least put Deng and Rose on stuff. But nooo. They had to dig up pictures of fans back when they were happy. Did any of them have early ’90s style haircuts?

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

At least

no MJ. That would be atrocious.

Asked what kind of player he expects to be in the next five years, he said: "Not a star, but like, a superstar. Something around, like, Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, something like that."

No players...

… but they put Stay Chisel on the tickets. The pic was taken during the 2007 Pistons playoff series. Given that Eddy Curry, Tyson Chandler and Ben Wallace have been on the tickets in the last three years, maybe I’ll be traded for another team’s fan this season.

Hey! Bulls Marketing with players?

I was listening to ESPN 1000 today and there was this radio spot about the Bulls playing the “Evils”

The Evils were Ghangis Khan, Mussolini, Jessie James, etc.

And they played the Bulls.

It mentioned three players.

Rose, Thomas, and Hinrich.

It was basically a play by play of a game.

Rose dishes to Thomas, and Thomas with the dunk over Jessie James!!!!

It was really weird.

Havent Heard that one but...

Theres a similar one with the bulls vs the Greek Gods. It goes something like this

“Hinrich brings the ball up court, floats it to rose, rose with a touch pass to deng who jams it right on top of zeus. He made zeus look like a wuss!”
“Heres posidon on the fast break, he passes it to hades. Hades goes up for the slam, OH! and Noah takes the charge. Hes gonna have some real floor burns after that one.”

It was really well done, and i was hoping they would do maybe an animated version of it on tv, it would be awesome. I think harris bank is the one doing the commercials but im not sure.

On Behalf of Sue, Wjb, Bullshooter, and all the other Hinrich fans...Ill keep the Hinrich Hope coming...There will be light....

reminds me of an article

that I read a long time ago. It was questioned why BJ Armstrong’s face (other than MJ and Scottie) seemed to be in most of the Bulls’ marketing material. The response was that he was one of the few players who it was certain that he would be back the following season.

Makes sense though. Think of the loss the marketing dept took when BW was traded.
