Anybody else like this idea?
Please, "don't flame me bro", it's just an idea, and it does work financially, and I am bored by Bulls lack of news lately, so, here it is:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=2456~1731&teams=25~4&te=&cash=
For the browser impaired or simply too lazy, It's:
Nocioni for Chris Wilcox (Oklahoma), stragiht up...
They're actually kind of similar, except Wilcox doesn't chuck and he rebounds too!
Oh, and he's 6-10 too!

I like Wilcox.
Wilcox is a very good power forward. If he was on the Bulls he would either start, or come off the bench after Gooden. But, the Bulls don’t need another “good” power forward. If we add him, Wilcox will want 28 minutes a game, Gooden wants 31, and Tyrus Thomas wants 18. 28+31+18 = 77 minutes. There is only 48 minutes in the game. Therefore, Wilcox, Thomas, and Gooden would be under utilized.
But, I agree with trying to sell Nocioni. I too think he is under utilized on the Bulls because he can play 35 minutes a game, but with the Deng (who is better) playing 35 minutes a game, it leaves Nocioni with garbage time.
The bulls do not need another “good” player. I would like to see a 2 for 1 deal. Noc and Noah for a GREAT center. Noc and Thomas for a GREAT PF.

I like this idea, actually.
Although I guess Wilcox is a little limited offensively. Noc may be slow, a chucker and a guy who makes bad decisions defensively, but he is a little versatile…
And also, I’m wondering… was that a reference to the “Don’t tase me bro” who apparently used to post on here?

I don't like it.
Agree with Homesick-Blues, we don’t need another avg./good player. Wilcox doesn’t solve any of our problems. If you get rid of Hughes, there is at least addition by subtraction, but losing Noce’s energy off the bench for Wilcox? Besides, Noce is a winner and Wilcox is not.

Save the first-hand trade speculation for your cohorts at the local corner gin-mill (or playground), or, better yet, pick up a copy of NBA Live 09 and knock your socks off. Unless the proposed trade idea has been mentioned in the press, what does it matter whom you or I would like to see in a Bulls uni? If any of us were that qualified, we’d be sitting next to Gar & Pax in Deerfield.

I can't agree with you on that
Maybe ridiculous trade ideas that haven’t been thought through, but well conceived trade ideas should be, and are, welcome here for discussion. That’s what makes BaB so great. If you don’t want to read about any trade ideas, viable or not, just don’t open the thread. And if you think because a trade idea is mentioned in the press it automatically has credibility, well, you need to start paying more attention.

I was referring to trades or ideas that “have legs” and are at least plausible in the real, air-breathing world, that most of us live in.
I have been here since Matt initiated the old boards and have lurked through several sensational seasons of Bulls blogging. What makes BaB “so great” (IMHO) is that the items Matt (and many others) choose to post are issues that have substance. Firing through NBA rosters and playing “I wish…” is a game that fantasy football players and fifth graders engage in during recess (or on their bosses’ dime, as in the first instance.)
My point is that every trade idea or line-up change that pops into one’s cranium need not be shared with the world. That is what has helped “The Patron Saint of Basketball Blogging” rise to the top and differentiates it from other, stream-of-consciousness blogs. ::Focus::

Maxiell for Tyrus (sign & trade) ?

Not bad actually
The only reason I don’t think this is awful is because Wilcox only has 1 yr left on contract. He is a decent post player and if it doesn’t work out, you can let him go after a year.
