A Summer of Bull

In case you've missed all the fun here at Blogabull for the better part of the 2008 summer, here's a quick re-cap of what has happened in the past two months...

Jabroni #1: God I hope we make a trade

Candiass Man: Michael Beasley is part Shaq, part Kobe, part Jordan, and half Son of Krypton.

Jabroni #1 again: Can we trade the pick!?

Jabroni from Chicago: Derrick Rose is already Jason Kidd, with some Derron Williams, and some CP3, and C3-PO, R2-D2 and has Jedi instincts. 

Jabroni from New Jersey: We got LeBron in two years!

Jabroni #4: Ben Gordon is clearly the MVP of the league in 2 years and we wont see it in a Bulls Uniform.

Candiass man: What do you mean Luol Deng is actually taller than Michael Beasley?

Jabroni #5: We had a bad season because ... um ... its all Nocioni's fault!

Jaborni #2: I love Tyrus Thomas

Jabroni #1: I hate Tyrus Thomas

Jabroni #1: I hate Kirk Hinrich too, lets trade him.

Jabroni King: Can we trade Aaron Gray, Cedric Simmons, P.J. Brown, Antonio Davis, and draft picks for an MVP from another team?

Jabroni #3: We got a new coach! its ... Mike D'Antoni, I mean Avery Johnson, I mean Doug Collins, I mean ... Vinny Delnegro?

Jabroni #4: Pay Ben Gordon! What tax limit and what do I care? Its not my money.

Jabroni #5: We paid Luol ... if only we hadnt paid Nocioni or got rid of Hughes we could pay Ben. I'm so damn smart.

Candiass man: OMG did you see that first game of the preseason!? I can CLEARLY SEE we are screwed for the next decade.

Jabroni #1: Wonder if we can pay Ben in Euros?

Jabroni #2: Whaaaaaaawww

Jabroni #3: Whaaa

Jabroni #4: Whaaawaaaa

PEOPLE! What in the Blue HELL is going on!? We've let a few Jabronis turn this into Crybaby.org all of the sudden! For all of you candiass pessimistic know-it-alls the Rod says this ... KNOW YOUR ROLE!!! The Rod understands the right to express concern about their favorite teams, heck, the Rod ENCOURAGES the outpour of ideas and points of view. But this has gone too far. You've taken blogging and turned it into something ... evil.  Something ...  depressing. Something ... how do you say- IT DOESNT MATTER HOW YOU SAY IT!!!!!!!!!

Some Jabronis love walking that line between concern and downright whinning. The problem is too many have crossed it of late. Stop LOOKING BACK! Too many people are concerned about the past here. Fix the FUTURE of this team! Yes some people dont like Tyrus ... YOU HAVE TYRUS, deal with it. If anything you should wish for the best, how does that NOT benefit the team? So you hate Kirk all of the sudden, point #1, better than Duhon, point #2 good teacher for Rose. Move on. So you hate Teen Wolf because you paid him a lot. YOU CANT NOT PAY HIM NOW! Get over it and move on. If the team made the playoffs and got to the finals you wouldnt be complaining becuse if you complain over paying Nocioni, what the hell would it be called if you pay a short jumpshooter who has trouble guarding, rebounding,
handling the ball, and passing twenty more million dollars to keep him? Deal .. with ... it.

I'm not saying to like it, I'm not saying to agree with it, just.. deal with it.

Look at it from this point of view. Lets say you're from the crew of Tyrus Thomas has to go. Ok, fine thats perfectly ok, you are totally entitled to your point of view. By all means mention you want to trade him. But here is the key. If you HATE Tyrus and it bothers you how much people defend him, and it gets under your skin and you let it get out of control, you'll be so eager to get rid of him that you A. Wont notice if he DOES improve. B. Would actually let him go for less than market value instead of getting the most out of it. and C. If he does leave and puts up crazy numbers, people around you may not listen to how we should totally get rid of (fill in the blank) on your next rant.

So on this case, play GM a little bit. Want to get the most out of Tyrus on a trade, how? Understand his stenghts. Good speed, rebounding instincts, will try to block a shot, good help defense, freak dunks, energy, size, young. There, now when you trade him, ask yourself Do we still HAVE all those things left in the team once he leaves and if not, do we get something in return that is worth not having those thigns. See? Educated decision to do what you THINK its best that sure sounds a whole lot more convincing than either. "Trade Tyrus for some towels and gatorade" or "Tyrus will be Amare in a year watch".

This place is so much more interesting when people are letting their knowledge show and are not just complaining left and right crying about point A or B. You're a fan, let us KNOW! Tell us why it makes sense, try to convince us otherwise.Dont turn this into I hate Ben Gordon/I love Ben Gordon.org It all ends up sounding like a Rex Grossman conversation -ugh-

So stop crying and start making POINTS, and if not the Rod will Layeth the Smaketh down on ALL your Candy asses!
