Ha!
Where are all those people who claimed that Beasley’s bad behavior was a thing of the past now?
He’s a head case and it’s only a matter of time before he does something REALLY stupid.

looks bad.

It is odd right?
Maybe he’s dealing weed on the side.

I'm pretty sure
that they didn’t really know the extent of his involvement at first if you read the article. Sounds like none of these guys were talking until now.

Another NBA conspiracy...
…they initially report it was Arthur and Chalmers involved, then quietly fine Beasley more than twice what the others were fined…though he was not sent home from the event, its obvious the league is not happy with whatever level of involvement Beasley had…and they are already giving this kid a star treatment…that sucks.

perhaps he was fined so much
because he wasn’t kicked out of the rookie transition program or whatever… chalmers and arthur had the embarassment of getting kicked out and having to do it again next year… and perhaps beasley’s level of involvement was sufficient enough that it warranted a bigger fine because it was balanced against the further punishment of being kicked out of the seminar and having to repeat it.

Somewhere in the backs of our minds his reputation has just been solidified.
Good job not taking him, Pax. That guy is never going to change.

In Miami
his might outlive this incident. Depends on how Miami’s media deal with it. In Chicago he’d be eaten alive. We would already know every tiny little detail and have statements from the coaches etc.
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

Great link
Nicely balanced. But the link on the top right corner re David Foster Wallace’s passing was a real thought provoker. If you think about the life of lottery picks, parties that are innapropriate to the occasion really aren’t too different from the rest of our lives. We’ve all seen the same at conferences, conventions, etc (maybe w/o the weed, and that’s purely a generational thing). Boys will be boys. Out here in CA, with legalized medicinal marijuana, it’s about on a par with Gatorade for that generation. True story: my daughter’s best friend got stopped last night for the misfortune of answering her cell phone at the exact moment she was driving by a cop. She was escorting a car full of teens with weed. The officer had no issue with that, indeed had an amusing conversation where he expressed more curiosity than concern. I’d say we fogies ought to get used to it.
Nineteen years old, stuck at a mandatory conference, rich, and having a choice of a wild party or going back to the room to watch Cinemax; hmmm.
