Rumor: Bulls Looking to Sign Hamed Hadadi From Iran National Team

I got this off HoopsWorld. The Bulls are looking to sign 7 ft 2 in, 245 lb Center Hamed Hadadi from the Iranian National team after the Olympics. Hadadi have even spoken of getting numerous offers from NBA teams in the past and hopes to sign for a team at the end of this years Olympics.

Heres Some more stuff on him I found out

  • He curretnly plays for Saba Battery BC in Iran
  • Startting Center for the Iranian National team
  • Asia-Basket.com Asian Club Championships All-Asian Players Team
  • 23 years old

Yeah this guy is deffently good and as you can from his Youtube videos he has a nice shooting touch and good around the basket for rebound. I would compare him to Zyndournas Illgouskas (Can't spel Big Z's name lol) with just as good of a shooting touch as Z. Here are some Youtube videos of Hadadi. I would be suprised if this deal doesn't go through because you can't trust hoopsworld.

Especially

since he was the one man difference maker in the Russian team losing that game. If he wasn’t injured it would have been a whole new ballgame.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

I'm encouraged by this guy

I found the summer league box score of Iran vs. the Dallas Mavericks. Scroll to the bottom for his final stats: 7/12 shooting, 19 points, 16 boards.

Per game, he averaged 14ppg, 11.5rpg, 2.5bpg, while shooting 65% from the field. He finished sixth in the voting for the All-Rocky Mountain Revue MVP.

DraftExpress thinks he lacks athleticism, and that may be true – the youtube videos showed almost no defensive plays – but I don’t know many 7’2” guys with his shooting stroke and finishing ability. He looks like a slightly better, slightly taller, better rebounding Francisco Elson… which is good!

We've been pining for some frontcourt depth for months

Sign him, sign Shawn Bradley, just get someone who’s tall and can rebound/score for 10 minutes a game.

I was a multiple time all star throughout my little league career. Won 5 championships- 4 in a row- thats more in a row than MJ… (kenwo4life@aol.com)

Couldn't find the story on hoopsworld.com . . .
