Nice find!

I can’t wait to see the numbers so we can make this the next money comparison for BG…

RMN

sez:

As of a month ago, Smith said he hasn’t gotten an offer from the Nuggets, other than the option to return next season for the $3.04 million qualifying offer. He turned down a three-year extension offer in October worth about $10 million, and there have been no indications the Nuggets are willing to offer a lot more.

(via PA&R, who speculates that it’s a 3 year deal for somewhere around the MLE)

The actual comparison would be whether the Nuggets upped their offer or cried luxury tax to Smith and he relented (I’ll guess the former).

I think 5.58 is MLE....

3/16.74……..Oh well, we won’t hear the Ben screamers talking about this one on any comparison level…Hell, let BG tell it,this should be his starting point…LOL

there is no comparison

any money to JR Smith can be interpreted as throwing it in the trash.

Heck, the Bulls themselves dealt him for two 2nd rounders, so they can’t value him that much.

Exactly!

At the time I was so pissed, but i hadn’t done my homework on the kid…at that time, all i knew was he was the height of the type of player i had been hoping the Bulls would get, they got him,and I was ecstatic, even though I knew nothing about him…then they traded him,and then they even cut the guy they got back with the picks,I wanna say Eisly, but I was so damn pissed, and i guess we can officially say we haven’t had a guard that was 6’4-6’6’ since him, even though he was never even invited into the building!
I like JR now,but it would take the Bulls to have a new GM for us to ever get him since Pax is high on attitude and cool on talent e.g.-Adrian Griffin

Smith is bigger

Although I’m shocked a member of the unwashed masses such as yourself has already forgotten about The Great Thabo.

I don't consider Thabo a slasher

and I also thought he was 6’7’’…when I think of the type of players i was looking for at that time,I was looking for a slasher type in the mold of Kobe,Jason Richardson,Vince Carter,Larry Hughes(at that time) Richard Jefferson type 2open up the floor for our midgets to toss up some threes….Thabo doesn’t fit the scouting report I read about JR before i found out his character flaws back then when we acquired him…..
