Dynamo Moscow signs the homeless man's Ben Gordon
They had been rumored to be thinking of going after the real thing.

On the flip side
The Hornets’ bench is even worse now. They could use the real Ben Gordon. Too bad they don’t have much to give, and are bumping against the luxury tax themselves. Argh.
Nocioni could really help them, but Paxson can’t make any deals yet! No sir!

I don't get that at all
Nocioni is obviously expendable, and I don’t why it matters whether Gordon comes back or not. What, were they planning on using Noce at the 2? He’d be a big guard!
I've posted this idea before
but Mike James and Julian Wright I believe would work for both teams. We’d have to “Tim Thomas” Mike James to stop the glut from remaining but I think Wright is a good piece if not a perfect fit to our needs and someone who I believe Paxson has liked.
There may be something there, throw in Rasual Butler too
His name was mentioned a few times last year. Why, I don’t know but where there’s smoke…

meh
Paxson likes the idea of not giving him an extension in a couple seasons :)
do you mean for Noc, or Gordon? Wright is another SF.

question: Noc for James (and change) straight up?
Expiring….but James was abysmal last season. Then again, if Hinrich is traded at least there’s that (seemingly) impossible-to-find backup PG still on the roster.

I forgot the Hornets signed Posey for the Noc spot
Still…they could both come off the bench.
This deal gets $131,333 off the books!

Did you hear New Orleans as thinking of playing Wright as the backup PG?

Pargo isn’t really a backup PG. He’s a scoring option off the bench that can cross the timeline without turning it over.

I was saying
this deal would be for Gordon. I don’t think they’d give up Wright for Nocioni, especially after signing Posey. Its true that Wright is a SF but he’s more of a point forward and just in general itd be nice to get something for Gordon which is looking kind of bleak at this point. We could move Wright or I think he’s different enough from Deng to have a place on the team. Point is we’d be gaining an “asset” which we know Paxson loves and a very tradeable piece in James based on how much he’s moved around.
for a Gordon S/T, sadly that's about as good as it gets
which is my problem with this whole thing. More ‘assets’, more expiring contracts, more rookie deals. Paxson’s had years to get plenty of these already, he should be doing the opposite: consolidating and upgrading. Why is Paxson in charge of the next rebuilding stage?

What about Hilton Armstrong?
as a backup center?

worthless.
Bulls already have a failed Hornets draft pick in Simmons.

*worthless in the sense that Simmons and Gray are also worthless
point is, I wouldn’t consider Armstrong a ‘project’, just a big body.
