By the way

Im joking about deng and gordon wanting to follow suit, in terms of i dont know if they do, but im sure they will want more money then what the initial offers were, not less, and i dont think either one is worth much more then they were offered at the start of last season, especially gordon.

On Behalf of Sue, Wjb, Bullshooter, and all the other Hinrich fans...Ill keep the Hinrich Hope coming...There will be light....

Somehow

an undersized shooting guard with a career 42% FG%, who’s torn his mcl and gotten his leg drained a dozen times in the past year is worth $111 million. The future ain’t so bright for Washington…

Day by day, it looks like last season’s collapse was the best thing that could’ve happened to this Bulls team. Not only did we get Derrick Rose, but other teams are throwing max contracts at Baron Davis and Gilbert Arenas instead of making pitches for Gordon and Deng.

this isn't Blazer's Edge

You can admit players on other teams are really, really good at basketball. Gil was nearly equal to Kobe/Wade in production before his injury (before Wade’s too), and is likely entering his prime now. I don’t see what the problem is with his new contract, unless he’s not healthy. He’s worth it.

Eh, maybe you're right

There have been so many bad, huge contracts given out in the past few years that this really isn’t so bad by comparison. He really is a great scorer.

My issue, though, is that Washington is up near the luxury tax threshold now, yet they’ve fielded a roster that’s probably a four seed. Now they have about a two year window to try to bring home a title, and their chances don’t look good. Abe Pollin is 85 and not getting any younger, so maybe it makes sense to go for it, but that seems like a lot of money to just be above average for the next six years.

I think the bigger problem is Washington's long-term strategy (whatever it is).

They’ve sacrificed all their flexibility for Jamison and Arenas.

Maybe because they're not

$10 million/year good

LOL

i love reading the agent zero contract headlines. before gilbert arANUS fucked up his knee he was a force now i don’t think he’ll ever be the same. He did jack shit in the playoffs and had a mean limp that time he left the court for the lockerroom his first or second game back. his knee is swiss cheese. lol and they even point out he took like 15 mil less than offered when really he was offer about 100 mil too much IMO. ahahah dumb wizards, i liked the bullets name better BANG-BANG.
