Rose Feels No Knee Discomfort During USA Select Scrimmages
I perused the other threads and didn't see this tidbit posted:
"Rose also reported that he is feeling no discomfort in his right knee, which experienced tendinitis that forced him to miss some of the Bulls' rookie-league games."

That is real good news...
However I wish someone could offer some insight on how well rose played. It would have been nice to hear how Rose himself thought he performed agaisnt such elite talent. I have a feeling he did much better then summer leaue due to the fact he was surrounded by a much higher caliber team. I would be interested to know if the Select Team ever led in a scrimmage.

I did read that

From the USA Basketball Blog on NBA.com:
http://my.nba.com/forum.jspa?forumID=5800006278
—The senior team and the select squad played four five-minute scrimmages. The senior team won all four. In the first and fourth games, Coach K’s crew won handily, but P.J. Carlesimo’s young pups put a scare into them in the second and third games. The second match was decided by a LeBron James game-winning pull-up jumper on Jerryd Bayless with 2.0 seconds left and in the third game Kobe Bryant got hot in the last couple minutes to get the win after the Select Team jumped out to a big early lead.—During the first scrimmage, the Select Team’s first five out on the court were O.J. Mayo, Luther Head, Kevin Durant, Jeff Green and Al Horford.
—No. 1 overall pick Derrick Rose scored on several drives to the hoop, but also struggled with turning the ball over.
That’s all I could find related to Rose and the Select Team play. Rose apparently got to the rim, but there’s no mention of his jumper or anything of real substance.

Good Link
This was from today:
The senior team and the select squad played a two 12-minute games today. Previously the two teams had only engaged in five-minute scrimmages. The senior team blew the select guys out in the first game and the young guys toughed out the second game thanks to a big jumper by Rose to put them ahead by two possessions with 11 seconds left.
"We needed that, we wanted to beat them fair and square all week," Kevin Durant said. "I think the people at that scorer’s table have been messing with the score a little bit, so we wanted to beat them fair and square. That was a big-time shot by Derrick, we needed that."

Rose hitting a clutch jumper in a scrimmage versus the best of the best in USA basketball.
Awesome. It was a scrimmage, granted, but if those guys are anything like the old Dream Team I’m sure once the competitiveness gets going they are going pretty hard.
