Chad Ford again mentioning the Hornets going after Ben Gordon
Joe (New Orleans): Who do you think the Hornets will pick up as freeagents?
SportsNation Chad Ford: I know they're looking at Ben Gordon. It's still unclear whether the Bulls will be willing to break the bank for Gordon ... the Hornets are over the cap so they'd have to workout a sign-and-trade to get him.
I don't really see how this will work from the Bulls perspective. NO can't sign Ben outright unless he goes for the mid-level, and the sign-and-trade opportunities aren't appealing either.

If there was ever a league record for alley-oops
A team of Paul, Tyrus, Chandler, and Julian Wright would break it in about 2 months.

Maybe we can get Tyson back.
(Sarcasm)
Honestly, I have no idea who New Orleans could offer us. They obviously won’t part with West.
LSU 38 OHIO STATE 24 - LSU IS THE NATIONAL CHAMPION AND I AM THE KING OF BOURBON STREET!!
They have no one of value to trade
Unless someone thinks Morris Peterson is a good option at SG.

How about Julian Wright?
He doesn’t fit the Bulls as currently constructed in that he’s a small forward and Luol Deng can really only play small forward, but that’d be one hell of an asset to pick up and potentially flip in another trade this offseason. Or allow us to move Deng in the right deal.
Sigh…can we trade Pax for Kevin Pritchard, just for this offseason when we really need to wheel and deal and consolidate the talent on this roster?

No.
The Collective Bargaining Agreement dictates that you can’t trade a GM (Pax) for a Diety (Prichard)
Julian Wright is a high energy PF with a raw offensive game
Sounds familiar.
Also, I’m not sure the Hornets are that interested in Gordon. Why not just re-sign Pargo for a fraction of the cost, given how he can provide the same kind of instant offense (though not nearly as consistent obviously).

the great Pritchard
hasn’t consolidated anything yet either. He hasn’t even had to offer guys contract extensions yet.

True, Blazers have been on the decidedly anti-consolidation plan.
I remember the stockpiling assets phase fondly – when the kids got to play a lot and everyone was happy because just making the playoffs was an overachievement.
If nothing else, taking Rose will at least piss off Pat Riley.
Blazers Wicker Man-esque worship of Prtichard will significantly decrease
When all their classy unselfish superstars are all due for multimillion dollar extensions. The Bulls were in the same position last year, money changes the whole complexion of a franchise.
