Hey didnt Kirk play on the actual team few years back? Well now Rose has been selected to play on the Select team. I was excited to read this until I saw Luther Head made it too, so it must not be to big of a deal

Damn your faster

internet connection, I just got the email from MyBulls. I was surprised to see Head’s name too but always good to see any former Illini succeeding. I wonder why they decided he should be the veteran presence? Maybe Deron owed him a favor? Here’s the team:

Problem with team

LMA and Al H are not enough of an inside presence to make this work. If this team had a couple of nice inside pieces like maybe Oden or some other players, they could make this like USA 2.0 and let this team compete in some of the lower level tournies all over the world. I think it be kind of fun.. kind of like an under 21 or under 23 team of sorts

Except for the fact that Head

is almost 26 and Kevin Martin is 25 but I get what you’re saying. Both LMA and Horford could be a good inside bigs, they’re both almost 7 ft, but they need more time to develop.

Welll

Kev martin is useless on the team anyway and head shouldnt be on there. Lets see they have Durant, AI2, Mayo, Stuckey, and even Green who can play the wings, I dont see how K Mart is so valuable so lets say they replace him with Westbrook or someone like that they will be ok. I think LMA and AL H are both awesome, its just I dont think they are enough. They need one more young center with them.. Maybe a healthy Andrew Bynum can fix that as well. Personally I think Deng is real good for international play as well, maybe as team England he can do some damage. The international 3 point line is like a lay up to him, he is the best long 2 shooter that couldnt really score from anywhere else besides long 2’s, can remember since Sedale Threat with the Lakers back in the old days.

I believe last year...

...they had Channing Frye and David Lee as two of the bigs. Sadly, even Aldridge and Horford are huge improvements compared with those two on defense. It’s funny how the select team still beat Team USA in a scrimmage game despite that.

Will any of the Junior Select scrimmages be on TV or the internet?

I doubt it, but I thought I would ask anyway.
