Around SBN: Kobe Bryant Isn't Up To Speed On Jeremy Lin, 'Linning'

Salt Lake Tribune talks about the contract status of Boozer and Okur, and their relative worth (market value), in this article. D. Williams wants to know what the team will be like before he inks his name to a multi-year mega deal. I think the Bulls should trade for Okur or Boozer. Give the Jazz some guaranteed players the next couple of years.

Boozer for Deng?

I’m not sure if Deng’s trade restriction prevents us from making this move, but if it’s allowable, I think it makes sense for both sides.

Utah is probably looking for a SF in order to move Kirilenko back to his natural position, and Deng is one of the most talented young SFs in the game. Also, they can have Deng for 6 years 60 million instead of Boozer’s upcoming max contract at twice the money.

It goes against the grain to trade a bona fide star for a semi-star, but if Utah plans on wrapping up Deron long-term, this may be their best option.

Not bad an idea, although Deng is my favorite Bulls player...

How would our lineup look then? Who is the starting SF? Would the be Thomas, Nocioni, or Boozer?

What about sign and trade of Gordon, Gooden, and a 1st round draft pick (conditional if we can sign Boozer to a LT deal … <- is something like that possible/legal?)?

This gives us a prospective 9 man rotation of Rose, Hinrich, Deng, Boozer, Noah, Thomas, Sefalosha, Nocioni, Hughes, and Gray. Seems like a very formidable lineup; one that could compete for a central division championship.

Yeah, I don't think this year's lineup would matter so much

If we get Rose and Boozer, the pieces are in place, and we’ll have a year or two to acquire a decent small forward. I would start Tyrus at center before I play him at the 3. He, Gooden, and Noah could all get 25mpg splitting the center and backup forward positions this season.

You think Sloan would rather keep Kirilenko over Boozer?

Unless it’s becoming impossible to move Kirilenko because of his contract (48 million over the next 3 years), I’d think they’d ship him out for a better scoring option at the 2, then just move Brewer to the SF spot.
