we should get dwight howard

forget about shaq, howard has more upside. And he would be a good pairing with rose.

Trade a similar contract like Hinrich. As long as we dont give up too much, I could see this potentially working out for us in the long run.

Then we could make a run at the 2010 free agent pool. Maybe pick up a nice little piece like Lebron James.

Think of the big three we would have: lebron, rose, howard. I think this is realistic and it would make the bulls a legitimate threat to make the playoffs. We could then just win the lottery two more times and fill the needs at sg and pf, then we'd be set.

Why not do this?

I can't think

of a good reason not to.

We should get LeBron!

And then we can get Amare from the Suns, and Arenas from the Wizards. I mean, wowee.

...

Getting Howard would be nice, but I don’t think it’s the most realistic scenario.

You gotta be kidding

Let’s see… the bulls entire roster plus the next 2 hundred first round picks…. no ain’t gonna work

by JustAnotherFan on Jul 12, 2008 10:53 AM CDT up reply actions

Great plan!

Orlando has been talking about shipping their biggest star instead of, you know, trying to build the team around him.

I also heard that Kobe is still interested in becoming a Bull while riding my flying pig to work.

Hey everybody, let's talk sports!

i also heard that Micheal Jordan was willing to join the team

except he’s six years younger and regained all his speed….what does everyone think?!

Let's just trade everyone for Team USA's starting 5

Then we can fill out the bench with minimum salary scrubs, since the starters will build up 50 point leads while playing precisely 32.7 minutes each and no ref would dare call a foul on any of them.

This plan cannot fail.

If nothing else, taking Rose will at least piss off Pat Riley.

by wjb1492 on Jul 12, 2008 10:06 AM CDT reply actions

Aaron Gray will have some time on his hands

so Coach K can start building a “team” around him for future international competitions. He’s an almost 20-20 guy, you know.

If nothing else, taking Rose will at least piss off Pat Riley.

I don't mean to sound like I'm talking shit

But these fantasy posts are so pointless.

Why stop at Howard? We should go after Oden and Durant and LeBron and Chris Paul and Kobe etc etc . . .

If you have read something about them being disgruntled or something, then yeah.

BUT THESE GUYS ARE UNTOUCHABLE!

Why waste your time writing about some dude who will never be traded unless he asks for it.

Then you could mention it

He’s a Blazers fan, and is taking out his aggression here because the Warriors blog had a fanshot about acquiring Greg Oden.

That's pretty much the definition of satire.

Think Jonathon Swift’s “A Modest Proposal”— for dealing with the Irish famine he suggested eating the children…a “modest” proposal.

I just like

that he says “it would make the bulls a legitimate threat to MAKE the playoffs.”-emphasis mine.

Asked what kind of player he expects to be in the next five years, he said: "Not a star, but like, a superstar. Something around, like, Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, something like that."

by BigBenign on Jul 12, 2008 10:58 AM CDT reply actions

Howard is no good

Why get him, we have two centers and two are better than one. Lebron is over rated. If he comes there won’t be enough minutes for Tabo and that is bad. Like Paxson says, I like my guys. Why trade them for Howard and Lebron?..

sarcasm.. i am new but not clueless

Seriously, if we keep signing any more middle of the road players, we will be stuck in the middle forever. Maybe we should go back to Kause’s plan. Suck so that you get a chance to pick up Lebrons and Howards in the draft.

by Fastbreak on Jul 12, 2008 10:13 PM CDT up reply actions

would half of you think I am serious, and the other half not sure if I was sarcastic or not.

by PippenAintEasy on Jul 12, 2008 12:49 PM CDT reply actions

Why wouldn't we believe you?

It’s not like anyone here knows you personally. Plus you might be retarded or 7 years old. Or you could be John Paxson.

by Juiceboxjerry on Jul 12, 2008 1:01 PM CDT up reply actions

hinrich for howard....!!!!???

that is why you wouldnt belive me.

but never-the-less, the bulls fans are optimistic at the prospect of this trade

by PippenAintEasy on Jul 12, 2008 1:12 PM CDT up reply actions

It was quite clear...

that this was sarcasm. Were it moderately competent or comical sarcasm, maybe more people would have joked along with you; but it wasn’t, so they didn’t.

by McCabe on Jul 12, 2008 3:16 PM CDT reply actions

Yeah ...

I didn’t see it before – my mind was still reeling under the ‘We should get Shaq! Yes!111’ onslaught. Not the best time to release a tongue-in-cheek retarded trade proposal, especially one that’s retarded for a different reason.

by Prevenge on Jul 12, 2008 3:35 PM CDT up reply actions

i know this was an attempt at humor, but it wasn't very good.

throwing out random implausable trade ideas is not funny by itself. this fanpost needed more to be entertaining, but i guess that’s 2 minutes of my life that i won’t be getting back.

fuck you, that's my name!! you know why, mister? 'cause you drove a hyundai to get here tonight, I drove a eighty thousand dollar bmw. that's my name!!

by MarketMaker on Jul 12, 2008 3:35 PM CDT reply actions

no

you wont get it back. and i look forward to wasting a few more minutes of your time in the near future. cheers

by PippenAintEasy on Jul 12, 2008 11:46 PM CDT up reply actions

That would be something though

D. Rose-The future “best pg” in the league
D. Howard-The soon to be “best Center” in the league

Centers and pgs are the two most important positions in terms of winning championships, centers and pgs are the positions teams tend to build upon, and thus….we would have the best center and best pg for the next 10 years….more then enough time for a dynasty. Once i get 2k9 im gonna do it, im gonna trade my entire roster except rose, hinrich (its a video game so i can do whatever the hell i want, and so he stays), and tyrus thomas….the rest will be used to get dwight howard…..

On Behalf of Sue, Wjb, Bullshooter, and all the other Hinrich fans...Ill keep the Hinrich Hope coming...There will be light....

What a slowly news days

Every idiot can post stupid trade proposals and think it’s very funny.
So if it’s so slowly I will post this:someone should delete meaningless fanshots.
