Wow, tough schedule.
Oh wait, it’s summer league. I demand 17 alley-oops per game and 37 FTA between Thomas and Rose. I DEMAND IT!!!

Are these games
televised here? I’d rather watch oop after oop than 1 minute of Len and Bob…

the orlando magic
had the games on webcast with two Magic PR people doing “commentary”. They were hysterical. They would rib Skiles during the Bulls games (both seemed to know him from his time in Orlando). Plus comment on everything besides the games, and answer email from fans. They got lots and lots of email from Chicago.

They are great.
That’s one of the reasons I’m glad the Bulls do the Orlando league instead of Vegas. It fills in the gaps nicely when the guys you care about watching are out of the game.
If nothing else, taking Rose will at least piss off Pat Riley.

I really can't wait for these.
Wooooo! Aren’t like all our rookies/prospects playing in these games? [Tyrus/Rose/Noah/Sefolosha/someone else? That’s a pretty good opening day lineup too.] Maybe all Rose will need is a little Summer League tune-up. :P

Still waiting for a Thabo confirmation
All the others are committed. It’s only one week so it’s not a lengthy league.

Yeah, Thabo isn't a givin'
Even Tyrus had to kind of explain why he, a 3rd year, would be interested in summer league. Besides, there will be guys trying for spots to fill out the rest of the summer league roster, right? We don’t necessarily need to fill the summer league ranks with people who will likely be part of the rotation in the regular season if not starting.

Right out of the gate,
I want to see Noah and Tyrus block shots, especially those of Beazley.
And since he’s not a great defender (and he’s short), they should be able to get some points on him, as well, along with some runouts. (And alley oops!)
And Rose should be able to finish while Beazley is in the lane. That will be awesome to see… !

Wow, despite Paxson's talking points...
...there are some high expectations.

I wonder if, during game #2, we'll get to see
the sumo-like Noah-Hibbert matchup.
As with the attitude toward Shawn Bradley, you’d have to wonder whether Tyrus/Noah (and Thabo?) will look forward to dunking on Hibbert. Last summer and in the exhibition season, Gray turned back a couple of dunks pretty emphatically, if I remember correctly, but that was before he gained 300 pounds. So maybe he’ll get dunked on a lot, too.

It would be really hilarious
if Gray shows up looking like a stick boy after having done paramilitary training to get his weight down these last few months. Highly doubtful, but still would be hilarious if he did come back fit. I still don’t get how you could manage to make it to the NBA and get playing time and still let yourself go like that. Shooting yourself in the foot more or less.

Gray losing two seven foot
eating friends on the road in Tom Dore and Red Kerr. Is there hope for extended weight loss from Aaron “Noc needs a haircut before I do” Gray?

As far as I know he hasn't been seen by the media out and about
like some of the other players, but he said himself that he was out of shape by the end of the season and needed to work on it. Not sure where and what that entails. He will be playing summer league so we’ll find out then if whatever was proves effective for him.

Gray and Cedric Simmons
were seen working out in Las Vegas over a month ago. Apparently they forgot they were already drafted.

At least there's some talent this year.
Last year the talent level was very underwhelming n Orlando.

Not sure how strict they are in practice.

These things aren't open to the public are they?
I’m heading down to Tampa to visit my folks for the next two weeks and wondered if it’s possible to get tickets? Orlando’s not that far away…does anyone know about this?
